Hampton Inn Penn Yan - Hotel in Penn Yan - 110 Mace St, USA

Booked here for our anniversary simply because it was convenient. Definitely got more than we expected. The location is grand. Right on the Keuka Lake waterfront with a huge gorgeous patio and grounds. The view is delightful from morning to night. We could have spent all our time right there. Rooms are spacious, decorated to suit the view and spotlessly clean. Public rooms are attractive and comfortable. Breakfast is set out nicely and the room is large enough to accommodate a crowd. There's fine dining and a wine bar for evenings in. We just have to rave about the patio---fire pit, umbrella tables, lounge chairs and comfy seating. Close to hiking, shopping, and great restaurants. The staff will make you feel right at home.

I normally stay at Hampton inns and they have always been fantastic. This stay not as much. Only issue with the room is that the shampoo was completely empty which shows that the cleaning crews don't check everything when they clean. Another issue is, while I don't expect much from the free breakfast, at least have coffee. I only drink decaf and it was empty soon after breakfast opened. I informed the front desk and they said it would be a bit since the breakfast person called out. I pointed out that we were only about an hour after breakfast opened and there weren't a ton of people around and they said "well, we had power line crews here so we opened early for them." When I asked why it wasn't checked when the rest of the food was replaced the person at the desk just walked back to the kitchen and in a very snarky tone "yeah, well, it's going to be a bit". By no means was this a bad stay, and there are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes at hotels, but two very basic things should be met. 1) The rooms are fully cleaned and stocked. And 2) If you are replenishing the free breakfast, check everything. Edit: Dropping service to one star. I stood at the front desk for almost 15 minutes waiting for an employee to come back. I even tried calling the phone number to see if it would patch through to someone and it didn't. People check out in the morning, how do you not have someone at the front desk?

Very nice place to stay for your trip to Watkins Glen and Finger Lakes area. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The rooms with the lake views are great. The only issue is in the rooms there is no place to place your clothes. There is no piece of furniture with drawers. There are bins that look like they are from a frig, but there are only 3 and they are small. The free breakfast is very enjoyable. You get to start your day with something hot. I will stay here again when in the area.

Beautiful hotel!! The hot breakfast was good, I am not a big breakfast person but there seems to be lots of choices and the coffee was great! Staff is helpful and kind, I would definitely recommend it and I would stay again!! We stayed over Christmas and it was absolutely lovely!!

This hotel sits right on the lake, but you either get the lake view or you get a view of the lumber yard across the street. I'm a Lifetime Diamond member and even that did not get me a lake view. Overall though the hotel is clean and in good shape. The chairs on the ground floor facing the lake are really nice. The are is safe and restaurant options are close by.

My mom is in a wheelchair and we had a room with a roll in shower and great view. Everyone was so helpful. The free breakfast was very good and the resturant in the hotel was also good. The pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing as was the outside patio. This was our 2nd stay and we will be back.

This was a great location for us after doing the Keuka wine trail. Th front desk gentlemen sent us downtown to the Keuka Cafe which was excellent. Wish our room looked over the lake, but this is what you get with points, instead of paying. Needs a little updating in the bathroom, but better than the Hampton in Seneca Falls

This hotel is right by Keuka Lake. You can see and walk to the lake right behind the hotel. You can rent stand up paddle boards, kayak or canoes right here. There is a nice patio out back with tables where you can sit and eat or view the lake. There is also a nice firepit you can sit around in the evening. Inside there is a pool and hottub. |Rooms are nicely appointed and include a microwave and small fridge. Beds are very comfortable, room was clean, water pressure good for shower and nice counter space. |Restaurant on premises was excellent and there is a nice bar here as well. |Awesome place to stay!
