Hampton Inn Pendleton - Hotel in Pendleton - 101 SW Nye Ave, USA

Room was comfortable and the staff were friendly. The room needs a good cleaning especially walls and bathroom. One of the reception staff needs a bit of training as she asked if I had room door cards or did I leave them in room. She said she too has forgotten to return them and “steamed” them. I said I rarely return them and do not believe it’s considered stealing, the 2nd reception staff apologized for the comments.

My best friend and I showed up after having detoured 4 hours to avoid the I84 closure and were exhausted. We needed separate rooms because I had to work early in the morning. The front desk person was amazing and then the 2nd person at the desk later that night, also amazing. We troubled them for a few things and they were great!. Friendly, accommodating, and kind staff, clean rooms, spacious rooms, comfy pillows and beds, the toiletries were stocked,, we had two king size study rooms and they were able to put us close together even though we were last minute. The hotel is off the highway but tucked in kind-of a residential neighborhood. Parking was easy with convenient access to elevator/rooms.

The Hampton Inn in Pendleton, OR was nice and quiet. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-84 for those passing through the Columbia River Gorge. The room was nicely sized and clean upon arrival. The check-in/check-out and digital room key via the app make staying here a breeze. We checked in late and didn't even have to stop at the counter. This location had free onsite parking and felt very safe. The complimentary hot breakfast was delicious and included waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and much more. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Crumbs on the floor when we checked in, and dirt in the corners. Needs deep cleaned. Room and common areas were cold, which seems to be a common complaint. Might be time for some major upgrades in the HVAC systems. Sidewalks were not shoveled, over 4 inches of snow and they were very slick. Front desk friendly and cooperative too.

I’ve stayed at this Hampton 3 or 4 times. In winter, the rooms are pretty cold. The and the entire hotel is outdated compared to any of the other Hiltons I’ve stayed in the tri-state at area. Sarah, the night clerk has a nasty attitude and is not welcoming at all. This is why I will never stay at the hotel again. On a positive note, breakfast is a great spread and the elevator is quite and fast. The beds are comfortable, room was well dusted and vacuumed. It had fresh sheets and towels. Conveniently located off the highway and near downtown.

Close to many services but don't stay here during the winter. The windows leaked cold air and the heater blew lukewarm air. The room was freezing and front desk told me all rooms are like that and that their heating system is old and they could do nothing. I had to seal the windows and doors with wet towels, and bought a space heater from Walmart to be able to sleep warm.

Tried to cancel do to feeling un well, before check in , staff did not know the policy if we would be charged full price if we did not spend the night. Wanted to see if the would provide some sort of discount for not cleaning the room or anything if we did not stay. The staff could not give us an answer, and said the manager would call us back. The manager would never call us back. Tried two different times and left messages, was charge full price and never even got points even though I was charged full price. Will never stay at that Hampton. Hilton also would not do anything even though they didn’t have to clean the room and I had been a customer for over 10 years. I have never been so disappointed in customer service.

Michelle at the front desk was great. As I was checking out she handled a really rude customer very calmly. Overall, the rest of the hotel was fine. Pretty standard fair for a Hampton. It would be nice if they had the AC on in the rooms before you check in. We got in and the room was really hot and took 30-40minutes to cool down.
