Hilton’s are definitely one of the last places I’d stay at, and here in Owego, there were literally no other options. I will always be a Hyatt girly, and this visit proved my points!! We needed a handicapped room because one of our travel companions had mobility issues, we were given a handicap room near the elevator, but the room had 0 handicapped accessible accommodations inside. We had a bathtub for an elderly person that can’t step up into or out of a bathtub! We called down to get it straightened out and were greeted with nothing but attitude about the situation. They were informed upon booking that we needed an accessible room and that there were mobility issues! After getting moved to an accommodated room with an accessible bathroom with a shower and bar handles for the toilet, we realized the new room had no lamp shades! It was literally just a lightbulb out in the open! We laughed about and decided not to say anything because they were extremely rude at the desk towards us already. We needed extra towels for our showers and a pillow, and that was an issue that we were given attitude over as well. I definitely don’t recommend this location if you are handicapped and are traveling with mobility issues because your accommodation will not be taken seriously. Also, don’t stay here if you need any help from the front desk because they will just be rude and give you attitude any time you approach them. The rooms weren’t even that clean to act like they have the best hotel in the area.
This was our first visit to this particular Hampton. It is located right along the Susquehanna River, so it has a good view from the patio and some of the rooms. Our check-in experience was fast and friendly, and we had a nice clean comfortable room. The shower pressure was poor (3rd floor). Breakfast was good. We had a room overlooking the river (which I think costs more), but there was a tree blocking our view! I inquired about this at check-out, and was told that "(they) had no control over what nature does over the seasons"! Overall we had a good stay, and would stay there again.
The rooms were very clean no musty smell everything seemed and its place and everyone was friendly and respectful. Great place to stay. I’d recommend it to anyone and I’ve stayed in many of your competitors hotels, and you are amongst the best
I travel non stop for work. I have stayed in many many many hotels and many Hampton inns. I was in a rush at 6am in the morning and The woman at the front desk had to see I was in a rush and rudely said I must have shoes on to get coffee. I am speechless. This woman has no business being in customer service. I am so shakin up from the disrespect and attitude in the morning and have never ever been treated like this in any other location or hotel. If you want basic respect and not to be uncomfortably harassed, do not stay here! I could not get the internet to connect on top of my awful morning! An awful experience all around. Many of my family members are hotel owners and would never treat any of their guests in such a way. I will avoid Hampton Inns from now on .
Had an overnight to celebrate my sweetie's birthday. Very nice people; great dinner recommendation to hit Parkview and try chicken pot pie!
We often stay at Hampton Inns. This is the only negative experience I’ve ever had. I will never stay at the Owego one again, and frankly, will avoid the brand based on our treatment. The woman who checked us in was rude. We requested our room be cleaned the next day. It wasn’t. We requested towels. My husband had to go get them. The sink was broken, The room, run down. The woman who checked us out politely allowed me to air my complaint but offered no apology or comment of any kind.
Hotel was super clean. People were nice. Marlene was so very helpful. Breakfast was very tasty. Great variety. The only complaint was the water view. If you are expecting a beautiful view, you will be very disappointed. This, of course, is not the hotels fault, but I feel people should know the water is disgusting to look at.
We were a bit put off by the work on the parking lot. There were not clear entrances/exits and so many areas were blocked off. Once we found our way in though the hotel was beautiful, clean, everyone was very friendly, the pool was great. The decor and cleanliness were probably the nicest I’ve seen from a Hampton Inn. We loved the fridge and microwave within the cabinets. A changing room for the pool would’ve been helpful. The river view was fantastic. The lighting was not very bright in the room and there was not closet/ironing board like I’ve seen in other hotels. The beds were super comfy but those blankets were WAY to heavy and we were so uncomfortably hot under them pleasant stay. I would stay here again when visiting Owego. My biggest complaint is because it was a weekend I paid over $380 for a 2 queen room which is insane to me. One of the staff called me to let me know we left a pillow behind which was very sweet.

Delicious sandwiches and soups and a great place to stop for a quick lunch. The tuna salad is fantastic and the area is super cute and charming. Also loved the bathroom art.
