Hampton Inn Omaha Midtown-Aksarben Area - Hotel in Omaha - 1401 S 72nd St, USA

I stayed at the Hampton Inn with my family on July 27. In our hurry to continue our journey, my wife accidentally left her wedding ring and diamond ring in the room. The housekeeping staff was incredibly honest and returned the rings to the front desk. The front desk staff promptly and securely mailed the rings back to our home in Canada. This is the warmest and most comfortable hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The enthusiastic service and the integrity of the staff are truly commendable. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future! We are extremely grateful.

The hotel and room were clean and nice, and check-in went well.|Our room had a shower but no tub, which was fine. We liked the large bottles of shampoo, condition, and lotion in the room. |Some hotel rooms have furniture that you can place your suitcases on, to keep them off the floor. This hotel room did not -- just one luggage rack.|We were disappointed that they didn't offer free Netflix, Hulu, or any other premium TV service in the room. |Whatever you do, don't stay in Room 208 -- we were tired so we went to bed before 10, and about 10:30 it sounded like there was a riot, or a mental health disturbance. We almost called the police! The next day, we realized our room is right above the pool, and the noises echo and reverberate loudly into our room.

It's a very nice hotel. Our room was spacious. It has comfortable beds. The desk needs a lamp though. There's 24-hour coffee/tea available (which I like) at dining area close to the hotel lobby. Their breakfast is very good. The serving lady needs to smile and be friendly to guests. It seems that she is not happy working there. The front desk receptionist is good. The hotel location is excellent.

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed in this Hampton after reading all of the great reviews and seeing the trip advisor choice award 2024 as well. Our room was fairly clean, but things were missed like the countertop of the wet bar, etc. We booked a suite room to sleep my family if 6. We had to go back down to the front desk for bedding for the sleeper sofa after even confirming at check in that there was indeed bedding in the room…there was not. The phone did not work which I tried to use to call about the missing bedding. The towels were also paper thin (could really use replacing) and again we were only given 3 towels and two wash cloths in a room that sleeps 6. When you book a larger room at a higher rate and state that the number of guests is 6, it is honestly expected that the proper amenities are in the room or at least given to you at check in. Having to continue to ask and hunt down what is needed is not good hospitality in my opinion. The breakfast was really not good either (there were very few options and what was offered looked as though it had been sitting there for days…tasted as such as well. The eating area was also not being serviced. Every table was dirty as they were not wiping them down between guests. Lastly, the overall experience from the employees was lackluster. No one greeted us when we walked by the front desk at any time. If we needed something, we had to get their attention. There were no, “good mornings or welcomes” Heads were always down at the desk/computer. I think Hamptons in general have gone down hill especially for the price. If we are in the area again, we will be staying elsewhere.

In town for a quick zoo visit. Stayed 2 nights the Hampton. The hotel and staff were great. There was a few ball teams in at the same time. |Plenty of food options nearby as well as Walmart and QT/Kum & Go.|The only thing that might improve the experience. It did seem the pool area was loud at times and that drifted some in the hallway. Possibly some sound deadening materials could be added in the pool area. Possibly some vents to the outside that could lower the humidity in the facility as well. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Omaha. Thanks for a great stay.

I had a comfortable and quiet one-night stay at the Hampton Inn. The location was good as there were a few eateries nearby. Front desk was friendly and the ladies that took care of the breakfast area did a great job in keeping the food well-stocked and the area clean.

The beds were very comfy. There are a few dining, coffee and shopping places right across the parking lot and also a WalMart across rhe street, so very handy to grab any necessities. We stayed 2 nights. The breakfast had a good variety and was tasty. The swimming pool and hot tub were a hit for the kids in our group.

Driving through from Phoenix to Chicago I have to rate this hotel the best stay thus far in terms of quiet and comfort. And as an added bonus, it's very close to The Drover, one of the best steakhouses in the country! Friendly and efficient front desk.
