Hampton Inn Newberry-Opera House - Hotel in Newberry - 1201 Nance St, USA

Nice stay. Check in was pleasant and easy. Room was clean and quiet. Even got to see the local fire department after a child pulled the fire alarm, lol. Highly recommend a stay here. Reason I only gave 4 stars for location is that it is a good drive off the interstate - but the nearby downtown was quaint.

Pretty location would definitely come back only problems was there wasn’t really wasn’t any water unless you went to the ice machine and let the ice melt or you bring your own bottles. Also the bathroom area in my room 319 the sink/counter was kind of coming off the wall so it wasn’t very safe and I don’t appreciate that much. It could’ve really damaged my toes if it had fallen off the wall also, I don’t have any other complaints other than the drink machine not working. It wouldn’t take any of my money or anything like that. I had to go down to the second floor and still the drink machine wouldn’t work.

Great property! Everything looked and smelled clean. Breakfast had good selections and changed each day. Even though they were fully booked, it was quiet and never felt as if they were at capacity.I will definitely stay again

We were there for a football game at a school close by so that was the reason for our stay. This Hampton Inn Newberry was a nice stay for us. The town/area is small but so cute with plenty to walk around and see. There are several restaurants/bars in walking distance, be sure and check their hours, they all vary. The hotel is older and could use some updates, the elevators are major slow and have not updated to digital key entry yet. The service was great, Diamond was working the front desk when we arrived and she was so sweet and helpful. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the room because when we arrived it had a horrible moldy-musky smell, when my husband went down to let the front desk know about this smell they were really quick to try and fix this for us. They really do need to deal with this problem in room 407 before they book this room again. They were able to move us to another room, had 2 queens instead of a king but there was NO WAY we could have stayed in that other room. Other than this issue, the bed was super comfy, room was clean and staff was nice. Breakfast was good as well, for a continental breakfast it was as good as it can get. Would stay at this hotel again.

Positive: Breakfast was good and location was great Negative: The rooms were not up to date. None of the sockets worked in my room so I have to sit downstairs to do my work. The computer times out and timed out so many times it took me until 3 am to finish my work. lady who checked me did not treat me fairly.

Chose Hampton Inn two weekends ago for the Spartan Race as historically Hampton Inns have always been a great choice for customer service and comfort. This Hampton Inn is an exception to the rule. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was barely any toilet paper on the roll with no replacement rolls available in the room. The electrical outlets between the beds was not screwed into place. My father attempted to use the fitness room during our stay but the treadmill was broken. When approaching the front staff about the broken equipment, they were nonchalant/dismissive about it, acting like it had been broken for a while. Pretty sure the only person on staff who cares at all about the guests is the wonderful woman who maintained the continental breakfast. I don't plan on ever staying at this Hampton Inn again.

The hotel was nice. Stay at Hilton properties all the time. I am only give this 4 stars because of the following: 1. Fitness Center - Two of the 5 machines were broken. I use the fitness center so that is an issue for me. 2. Breakfast - It lacked options compared to other Hilton properties I have stayed at.

The room was very Clean and up to date. He location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Hotel parking is very conveniently located next to he hotel. There are many places of interest to explore. The town is lovely and a great place to take a walk!
