Hampton Inn New Smyrna Beach - Hotel in New Smyrna Beach - 214 Flagler Ave, USA

No idea why this is considered only a "2-star hotel." This hotel is beautiful, clean, and in an excellent location! The whole building is designed beautifully to fit into the historic downtown NSB area without it being blatantly obvious that it's a hotel. It blends in with the gorgeous surrounding houses and shops. The inside of the hotel is clean and up-to-date, and the front desk staff are very friendly, helpful, and attentive. There is a nice fitness room (that I didn't have a chance to use), and a decent complimentary continental breakfast of toast, eggs, cereal, biscuits & gravy, fruit, juices, coffee, bacon, and a waffle maker. It would be nice if breakfast was served a bit later on weekends, as it's difficult to sleep in and relax when breakfast is only served from 6-10am. I realize that is fairly standard for a hotel breakfast, but it would be nice if breakfast was served until at least 11am on weekends. Parking is $23 extra per night and there appears to be ample parking at the hotel. The hotel's location is perfect if you're looking to explore the many shops, restaurants, and bars on Flagler Ave. The beach is a short walk from the hotel; probably no longer than a 10-minute walk. Would definitely stay here again, but I would recommend booking as far in advance as possible as it can be expensive if you book too close to your stay. I stayed on a Saturday night and my room was almost $300 for the night (booked only 5 days prior, which may have affected the price).

We actually love the hotel and location and usually choose this area over the Wes Coast due to the cool little strip and much less traffic. The employees are always friendly and helpful but on our last trip I had a fall due to negligence of the Hotel. I fell in their breakfast area and sustained a head and back injury. My wife advised the women at the front desk of the issue and my fall. She stated she would have the General Manager contact us to see if we were ok? The General Manager Dan Jordan never spoke to my wife and never reached out to me as a Hilton Honors member for decades! A few days later I got a call from someone I thought was from Hilton or Hampton but it was a legal shark making sure I wasn't going to sue! Never asked how I was just what was I going to do, did I go to ER, was I going to sue ect... |At that point I was furious! Hilton Honors has always been an excellent program but this situation was all corporate greed and CYA went straight to lawyers knowing they were in the wrong and staying away from any communication with me! I was blown away. I only wanted them to fix their issue so no one else got hurt. I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with The GM for the route he took then lieing on my wife's post about speaking to her which NEVER happened.

We decided to experience the Atlantic side of Florida. New Smyrna beach did not disappoint..a hidden gem.|Hampton inn is is a great location. Not on the beach, so nice and quiet. Lots of parking available but a 22 dollar charge for paying guests is not welcome. Rooms only have a small window so can appear a little dark inside. Our room was quite large. We loved sitting on the porch. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is complimentary which is a nice touch. However, the food on offer is limited..a grab and go! As mentioned earlier, great location… restaurants, bars and shops all nearby... Old style Florida is alive and well..! Recommended.

Location is great and it’s nice on the outside but customer service doesn’t exist. We checked in and went up to our room to not be satisfied with our sheet condition. We asked for new sheets and they stared at me blankly until saying “people don’t ask for those”. When I pushed for sheets, they told us we would have to put it on ourselves. Then when they texted us for a rating of our trip, I responded with a 2. They texted back and asked how they could make it better, I responded with concerns, and they never responded. We had a couple other issues too but ultimately it went back to staff. Also, they charge for parking. Which is ridiculous cause like most people have a car? But they don’t tell you up front. And lastly, they charged us incorrectly and now I’m fighting with them about that. Overall a hassle and the rooms aren’t even nice.

Only stayed for one night. The gentleman that checked us in was super nice. From the outside, probably the nicest Hampton Inn we've ever stayed at. The room was clean. Could use some upgrading (USB plugs on the nightstands would be nice) and the bed was super hard (thinking that's a Hampton Inn thing since this was the second one for this trip). Overall would stay again.

Don't worry they will charge an astronical amount to your card after they give you a good rate. Was told 185 then my card was charged 345. I did purchase a sprite and some m and ms at their shop. But definitely rate jacked me. And we even cleaned up our room for the maid. Made sure trash was by the door and all.

Very poor we had an incident in the dining breakfast room and the manager never contacted us and was told he was on property that day. He never has called nor checked on my husband . Such poor customer service that I will never return to this establishment. This has changed our entire life and they could care less . Not even willing to step away from the desk to help us . Beware of these type of people.

Excellent, friendly staff. Truly dog friendly. Great location if you do not care about being on the beach. Quick drive to the beach, where cars are allowed, but not dogs! I would highly recommend staying here. My visit here was over a week.
