Hampton Inn New Orleans-St. Charles Ave./Garden District - Hotel in New Orleans - 3626 St Charles Ave, USA

I saw the Location of this Hotel and I knew it was a good one.||So here is my Review :||Location is Not walking distance to the french quarters and that is okay if the weather |is cool when you go I suggest taking the trolly car which runs right out front the hotel.|the neighborhood is safe. there is security at night . A gated parking lot . Parking is|20 bucks , self parking . this is a small and charming hotel , The room is not the newest... But I thought is was well kept and very clean. the Breakfast seemed fair.|But it's so many delicious breakfast spots close by and Audubon Park is a must visit|right up the street. To me this area is old style New Orleans charm with the Historic|houses lined up the street . I would defiantly stay here again when I return to this city.

This hotel has been and will continue to be our FIRST CHOICE in New Orleans! Due to countless trips to NOLA since 2008, our family has experienced a variety of hotels in the city. The Hampton Inn/Garden District is tops in our book. Why? It's location (location, location), staff, amenities, and most of all the price. It is in the Garden District/Uptown near Tulane and Loyola Universities, there are fantastic restaurants in the area, and it is just a "street car away" from the French Quarters. The staff is consistently outstanding when it comes to customer service, plus the rooms are very clean and quiet. We recently reserved a 2 night stay for a room with views of St Charles. We enjoyed the room so much that we asked for a 3rd night. Although the hotel was full, we were able to stay in the SAME room for an additional night because of Ieashia Bagwell's assistance at the front desk. (THANK YOU AGAIN, IEASHIA; WE ARE EVER SO GRATEFUL FOR YOUR HELP!) Throughout our stay, Ieashia and ALL the staff were very kind, courteous, and professional to ensure our every need was met. Last but not least, the rates are some of the best in the city. You can't find a better deal.

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights in May 24. The room was comfortable and probably the first time when dressing table, light, chair and plug was all in the same area, as it should be. Comfortable beds and pillows. Buffet breakfast included, with hot and cold choices, constantly topped up by the lovely, cheerful Guatamolan kitchen waiter. Breakfast could have been extended to 10 o’clock weekdays, as well as weekends. People are on holiday, after all. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Special praises to the lovely, cheerful receptionist, Ieashia Bagwell. Super location with streetcar right outside hotel to get into the French District, a lovely, short journey to start the day and to come back from the hubbub at the end of the day.

Awesome place to stay. Get away from the French quarter, but still close enough to jump on the trolley.. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is so friendly. My family and I have stayed hear multiple times. Private parking behind the hotel and the stop for the green trolley is next door, pretty from convenient. They have hot breakfast, however get there early fills up quick.. You can get food and margaritas next door at the superior grill.. Four mustaches...

Place has went downhill. I've stayed here numerous times and each time it seems to be worse. No maintenance or upkeep. Air conditioner smells moldy and musty and the floor is all wet in front of it. The loud obnoxious noisy fan in the bathroom cannot be turned off and it's full of dust. There was a total of a half of a roll of toilet paper. Huge dead bug in the bathroom that appears to be a giant cockroach. The lights above the beds are broke. It's noisy. Very cheap beds that probably need replaced and are not comfortable, same with the sheets. Everything just feels wore out and broke. Refrigerator has a bunch of water laying in it . The chair at the desk is so gross with years of ground in dirt you can actually feel the nastiness. Very limited drink and snack selection with nothing around to go buy anything. Decent location depending on what you're looking for, but don't get your hopes up for a nice hotel. Very average at best, And lately much below average. No way to fix it without some major renovations, cleaning, New beds, sheets towels, new chairs, etc And retraining of your staff to properly stock the rooms.

Renovated and immaculate room— the lobby is pretty spiffy, too, and all of it clean clean clean! The front desk folk were kind and professional, and you cannot beat the location and POOL! We always stay at Hamptons but this place is a level above; we’ll be back!

Gotta say, I was a little disappointed here, ask for a late checkout for 11am here and had maids knocking at my door at 9am!! My room was very noisy, had people checking out early and it was very close to the elevator so not a great experience! Rooms looked a little old inside... I guess I expected a little more... no free parking, street parking so be aware, you could get ticketed! (I didn't but just saying...)

A good Hampton Inn, but it's lost some of the luster it had five years ago. Great location. We took our bikes and rode thru the Garden District to Audubon Park. NOLA isn't the same place it was on our last visit five years ago. Probably won't return, mostly because of how New Orleans has changed--not for the better.
