Hampton Inn Natchitoches - Hotel in Natchitoches - 5300 University Pkwy, USA

We reserved 2 rooms for our kids and granddaughter to join so for a surprise birthday party for my wife. The rooms were very nice, clean and quiet. Only issue was there were no towels and they were promptly provided by the desk when I let them know. Our daughter in law and granddaughter enjoyed the pool and our son enjoyed the workout room. The elevator was fast and we never really had to wait for it. The food at breakfast was excellent for a free hotel breakfast with a lot of choices. The staff was very friendly, which we expected having loved in Louisiana before. Very close to the Interstate and downtown.

I arrived a little early and checked in at 2:30pm. 2 free waters & a free snack. Great hot breakfast. Clean large room. Nice hot breakfast area. Large TV. Internet & A/C work well. Comfortable bed & pillows. Friendly reception & staff. I would recommend this hotel.

First, the good -- the lobby, breakfast area, and room were all very clean, which is the most important thing I look for. That said, the front desk staff seemed to be disorganized. It took a bit of time and 2-3 staffers to get us checked in. The keys didn't work when we got to our room, and although it's a small thing, when you have spent several hours on the road the last thing you want to do is go back to the front desk. We did manage to open the door with our digital key, and got new keys later. The digital key never worked again. Our new keys worked through the night, but not the next day. Back to the desk for new keys, although we were questioned to be sure the ones we had really did not work. (No, I just enjoy coming down to the desk to complain?) The room was very nice and clean, as I said, so it was not a bad stay. But going to breakfast well before breakfast ended, the bread supply was cleaned out. It took 5-10 minutes to find the attendant who grudgingly put out a few slices of bread and English muffins (no bagels at this location). I get not wanting a lot of food going to waste but I don't like having to account for how many pieces of bread I want. Same thing the next morning, plus they had not bothered to put out toppings for the oatmeal. We always look forward to the selection of items typically offered at Hamptons, and we didn't go hungry but this was disappointing. As I said, it was clean so I might stay there again, but I'd certainly check current reviews for other choices first.

First visit to this hotel and it will be my last! Black Mildew in shower and bathroom poorly cleaned. The manager and employees wouldn’t take a shower in this shower, so why do your guest? Business traveler and had to shower in a black mildewed shower! Several low star reviews are on this location, looks like they don’t care about cleaning.

Positive: Hilton based hotels are extremely consistent, no matter where you travel. Negative: Everytime housekeeping came by we were in the room so they would not come back later in the day to refresh towels, change sheets or empty trash. We had to ask.

I have slept at this hotel a few times for work related trainings. Last night was the worst experience I had. The air conditioner was not working properly. I had it on 60 degrees and the room felt like 75 degrees all night. I slept in the room because I didn't want to be inconvenienced and have to be moved to another room. But when I woke up this morning I noticed a blood spot on one of the comforters, which was the second layer comforter. It was not from me and was very disgusting to know I slept in an unclean bed. It was on top the comforter, but the second layered one. I don't know how the bed was even made and not seen. The spot was on the same side of the bed I slept on all night. When I checked out I wasn't even asked how my stay was, so I decided to do a review since I wasn't asked. I'm sure I will not return there.

For the modt part it was excellent We booked double rooms for our family Our room had no bathroom towels, hand toweld, face cloths upon request we were given all that we needed Roadside was a little nosiey, but we had our amazon sleep program playing and we slspt well breakfast was good the next morning We had a birthday cake and the night desk person allowed us to get plates and forks older hotel but comfortable

***BEFORE BOOKING, CALL TO SEE IF ELEVATOR IS WORKING***|I booked the room while in transit to Natchitoches. There was no warning that the elevator did not work. Reservations can no longer be canceled on the day of the reservation. Unless one wants to pay for two hotel stays on the same night, up the stairs you go. The elevator has been out for a week.|Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. Noisy at 4:30 am due to big trucks starting up in the parking lot. We have stayed here many times. This stay was disappointing.
