Hampton Inn Monticello - Hotel in Monticello - 29 Golden Ridge Rd, USA

Very new, clean, and friendly. Location is right in town - close to most things. Will definitely stay here again when visiting the area. ||Staff was welcoming and available. Had 1 or 2 special requests which were taken care of right away with a smile.||Breakfast bar was better than most Hampton Inns and the room controls were a neat little add-on to the experience.

Stayed one night at this property and was pleasantly surprised. The lobby is very inviting, well laid out, bright and spacious. Check in was very quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very nice gym and pool. Rooms have top notch toiletries , and the water pressure was very good. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of space to work and charge your electronics. The room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

Loved this place. Room was clean. The shower was great and spacious with sliding doors. It had hot water, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. Tv had Netflix so I was able to log on and relax while catching up on my shows. The pool was open until 10 pm. Breakfast was warm, the lighting in the sitting area was bright. The gentleman who was in charge of breakfast was friendly and very clean. I would chose this place again + it's only 1 year old so it's still a new place.

Stayed four nights for family visit .Location convenient to many Catskill towns and lakes. Hotel stay was excellent in every respect unless you like an oceanside room. Of course there are no oceans in Monticello. This relatively new hotel was perfect. Service could not have been better. Room was clean, as was all areas of the hotel. Pool was small but terrific especially for kids - 3 to 4 feet deep Beds were firm and very comfortable. Shower was accessible and had the shelf and grab bar to make it easy to use (for older people). Grab bar could have been on the other side of the shower but small thing. Parking was convenient and free.|Breakfast comes with the room; nothing special but fine - includes cold and hot items.

Lovely staff, clean facilities. I’m not always comfortable traveling alone on business but some hotels make you feel welcome and secure. The room was updated and perfect for my quick trip. It’s centrally located near shops and for me it was a quick drive to a nice restaurant.

The place was clean and well maintained. Overall the staff took pride in their role and it showed. The front desk was competent with the local attractions. The morning breakfast was great as well. Glen and the rest of the breakfast staff were super sweet and accommodating. My picky teenage daughter even enjoyed breakfast.

I recently had the displeasure of staying at this so-called "hotel," if you can even call it that. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the most condescending and rude male staff I have ever encountered. It's as if they took a course in how to make guests feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. They spoke down to me and treated me like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Even took the time to check his cell phone during my check in. But the rudeness of the staff was only the beginning of my nightmare stay. As I entered my room, I was immediately hit by a wave of musty, stale air that clearly hadn't been freshened in ages. The carpet looked like it had seen better days, with stains that I didn't even want to guess the origins of, come to find out they were not stains, in fact it was left over debris since my room was never cleaned. The bed linens appeared to be unchanged from the previous guest, with wrinkles and hair that definitely weren't mine, even found a crumpled up dollar bill at the end of my bed along with a receipt from taco bell. And if that weren't bad enough, the noise level in this place was off the charts. Apparently, the management thinks it's acceptable to let unruly kids run rampant throughout the hotel, shrieking and pounding on doors at all hours. It's like they've turned the place into a daycare center for the loudest children they could find. Come to find out the children belong to the staff, as i was told daycare is expensive. I must say, I've stayed in budget motels that were cleaner and more welcoming than this dump. I can't believe they have the audacity to charge the prices they do for the sorry excuse of an experience they provide. If you have any self-respect or standards for where you lay your head at night, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this disaster of a hotel. Your sanity and comfort are worth far more than any discount they might offer.
