Hampton Inn Macomb - Hotel in Macomb - 1639 E Jackson, USA

We visited Macomb, IL for a quick overnight visit, we booked this hotel the morning we left so it wasn't planned in advance. We checked in online during our drive down and received our digital key earlier than expected. |The room was spacious and clean but the bathroom smelled of smoke so we alerted the front desk. Charleswho was working the front desk was very helpful and made note of it. ||The breakfast selections were decent and plentiful. Zipp who worked the morning shift was friendly and helpful as well. |The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the pool. We used it at night and I noticed hair on the ground and it was still there in the morning along with a couple of spiders at the bottom of the pool. So, I'd say they didn't clean the area or skim the pool overnight. Kind of a gross turn off. ||But overall, a pleasant stay with friendly, helpful staff. I did not bring the pool issue to anyone's attention since my son decided he didn't want to swim anyway. Definitely recommend if visiting the area.

I would say the rooms and hotel itself would only rank a 2.5/3 on a 5 star scale simply due to the aged decor and lack of updates. That being said our family stayed her for a total of 3 weeks while relocating and while the decor is dated the friendliness and professionalism of staff is superb. The continental breakfast was enjoyed by my children and the convenience of the location helped up the overall rating.

This was one of the best Hampton Inns I’ve stayed in. Nice facilities, good breakfasts and a great view of of the corn fields surrounding Macomb. The room was clean with good A/C and plenty of towels and toiletries. Definitely the best hotel in town.

The hotel people are so kind they are so very caring and the rooms are so fresh and clean there breakfast was delicious! And there workers are so kind I would definitely come here again the view is beautiful I saw the sunrise this morning its 10/10

I was looking at hotels in a different city and this one was advertised first on the list. I booked a room thinking it was in the correct city 40 miles away. 1 minute later I tried to cancel the room and found out today they denied my cancellation and took full payment. Edited after response, I contacted priceline 1 minute after the booking and they said it would be escalated to your company if they would accept the cancellation. I was informed today it was denied.

Great service, but the bed had a wadded up towel below the sheet that I just didn't want to think about and slept on the other side as I got in late, and the shower was less than ideal with obvious mold.

Nice motel.. work pays and rooms are all decently clean.. some floors ypu can tell the cleaning people are not as diligent. Remember in a motel look behind the bathroom door in the corner.. stuff built up a little not cleaned very well.. alot of stuff in corner then ypu ate at a 50 dollar a night motel. Hot breakfast.. ok. Nothing spectacular. They gave us like snack packs the first few days we were there and then they stopped.. said for onl6 diamond members. I guarantee with the amount of rooms we stay in the days and months steady at this motel I'm sure my boss has enough points for all of us to be diamond... they won't let us have the points for the rooms we stay in because he pays.. anyways.. ya there were ants in one of the rooms I was in.. I told them in the morning that night I came back I didn't see any.. reception people are nice.. so all good

Unfortunately the hot tub is gone. (google clearly still states there is a hot tub)Still have all of the signage for it in the pool area but no hot tub🙄 Someone change this on google. I will say that the breakfast was very good Edit: hot tub has since been removed from description.
