Hampton Inn Hutchinson - Hotel in Hutchinson - 1401 1 2 E 11th Ave, USA

My wifo and I strive to find a Hampton when we traveled during early retirement times. Aways good solid hotel experiences. From coast to coast. I now am wheelchair bound, and am slowly learning new mobility ways.||I see a most highly regarded MD specialist. Only problem is seeing him means at least one night travel. Always a nice accommodating stay. I stubbornly decided to travel this time by myself. Give el wifo a break.||Everything went perfectly. Except I often forget I'm chair bound and the extra time it takes to go anywhere. ||So, I was watching this huge Plasma TV and time took off. Great tv. Next thing I know I was running late. Frustrated I had at least 2 trips to car. BTW The Hampton staff placed me as close to exit as possible. Heck, just getting my main bag out the room door was hard. ||I was losing it, plus found out wind advisories were in effect, Luckily the manager???? Noticed me and came to help. ||With his help we got my stuff in my vehicle. So grateful to this fine man. Made my appt. with 5 minutes to spare. He even refused my offer of a tip. ||Love the Midwest kindness.

Cannot stress enough take videos and photos as you arrive and leave!! The front desk ladies I checked in and out with were super nice. Stayed her 2 nights for a funeral and the viewing, shut the TV off upon arrival. Didn't use it the rest of the stay as we were over at family's house most the weekend or sleeping. They didn't email me I had to call to inquire about the excessive charges 800$+ for a TV we didn't break. I called and spoke with the manager briefly she didn't want to say much gave me a case number.. I spoke with the sheriff he didn't reach out to me and had closed the case being they called them the night after I checked out. Very suspicious as the cleaning ladies were only a couple doors down that morning when I checked out and had let the front desk lady know the night prior we would be checking out and watched her write that down. They claimed they didn't know we would be checking out Saturday so they didn't check the room tell Sunday night. They never thought to call or email me that a TV had been damaged just wrongly charged me for it a week after they had charged me for the room again nobody reached out. I've been working on disputing it with bank. They sent no photos or evidence to me of the tv being broke or what kind it was so I could look it up. I asked if they checked cameras to confirm nobody else entered the room which they wouldn't send me or confirm they had seen. They claimed it was bigger then a 55 inch which is the size TV I have at home and it was nowhere near that size. What was supposed to be a short trip for a funeral for a loved one turned into an ongoing headache. The screen should've said welcome ___ as it did when I arrived and shut the TV off. Like I said keep evidence or the cleaning ladies will put their mess up on you.

We stayed at the end of December for family get-togethers in Hutchinson. We have stayed in the past at this location. The staff here are some of the most friendly and accommodating we have experienced. The breakfast was good, standard Hampton quality. A slight downgrade due to road noise. I believe in the past we have stayed on the side of the hotel opposite the highway. I did not think about being on the highway side until our first night. It normally does not bother me, but there was a lot of road noise. I suggest asking for the East side of the hotel.

Loved this place. Everything about it was perfect, i.e. bed, pillows, quite, furniture not beat up and breakfast (eggs, sausage, juice, bread, etc, etc. Loved the mirror above the sink. Within walking distance of at least three restaurants.

The front desk clerk was awesome. I felt treated like family and she was so very kind. Our room was very clean and we enjoyed our short visit. Might need to check the quality of the pillows, but other than that, we were fine.

Clean rooms, newer decor. Overall a good stay. I would stay here again.

Check in/out easy. Room was clean and quite. Average size but comfortable. Beds were good, pillows are very flat/hard. They provide shower shampoo etc. Breakfast was good. Premade eggs, bread varieties and make your own waffle. Sausages, potatoes, oatmeal and some other items. Enough to get you going. Staff In breakfast area were very attentive to what needed replacing.

I stayed here for one night while visiting area attractions with my teenage son. The room was in good shape, along with the rest of the property. Breakfast was the standard warmer/pre-packaged fare for this rate class. ||||Nice touch: The TV was on & displayed a welcome screen with my name when we entered the room.||||This location is undergoing parking lot renovations and the entrance is somewhat difficult to find as no street signage points to the service road and the hotel signage is low and hidden behind trees.
