Hampton Inn Ft. Walton Beach - Hotel in Fort Walton Beach - 1112 Santa Rosa Blvd, USA

I am always impressed by the staff at the Hampton Inns - they are all so friendly and helpful. Check-in is always easy and quick. This hotel is in a perfect location, right next to the beach. There is plenty of parking, too. The breakfasts are fabulous with the make-your-own waffle machines and a variety of eggs, meats, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, etc. The staff working the breakfast are do such a great job keeping all the food stations replenished. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have loads of counter space. I really like that the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are in large bottles mounted on the walls instead of single use containers. I have one design comment regarding the bathroom - the toilet paper holder is situated behind the toilet, so it is so difficult to reach and then the roll flies off the holder since the opening is facing forward. If they can't change the position of the holder, at least the opening to place the roll should be facing backward. Also, I've noticed in many Hampton Inns that the room doors do not shut completely on their own, even though they sound like they are shutting. It's a problem when you are leaving the room and think the door closes automatically - it needs to be pulled shut. If the doors can't be changed, perhaps they could make that part of the check-in process where they remind you to always check that the door is pulled shut.

Normally I have stayed in some of the nicer condos along this strip with a beach front view, but this one was booked for an over the weekend work trip. I was pleasantly surprised based on several less than great reviews I read. The staff was very friendly. The hotel in general along with our room was nice & clean. Many restaurants nearby and the beach access was easy peasy! I would stay here again.

The staff is friendly and acommondates the guest. Maria is the GM for the hotel and is making great changes to this older but very clean hotel. It is a good getaway stay as the complimentary breakfast is delicious and a great way to start each day.

Location was pretty great and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, in the two weeks I stayed here the room was not made up once. I requested basic room cleaning on three separate occasions and was told the request was in the system. They claimed rooms would be cleaned three times a week for long stays but after the third request, I gave up asking. Room quality was not bad, indicative of a hotel room on the beach.

Great staff!! It is located right on the beach. The rooms are clean. What more could you ask for? I will be coming here again!!!

Our happy place is right on the beach, kids friendly with nice and clean rooms. Staff members are great, Wi-Fi and breakfast included. Located close to restaurants (some of them on walking distance), downtown, aquarium, and everything else you may need. We've stayed there 3 times so far, and we all agree there will be more to come pretty soon.

We’ve stayed here dozens of times and loved every time! My mom enjoys being able to just walk out of the room onto the beach. Free breakfast is nice, staff is friendly.

We booked here because we were attending an anime convention at the convention center and this was conveniently located 2 min away, was pet friendly, had a gulf view room with an additional pull-out sofa, and free breakfast. The Hampton Inn at Ft. Walton Beach checked a lot of boxes, so we booked and selected the non-refundable option due to the discount. Unfortunately, the room we booked encountered a maintenance issue and Brianna (I hope I got her name right) at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our situation. We received a similar gulf-view room but without the sofa-bed. This meant a possible awkward sleeping situation as I was with my 2 adult stepkids. Due to the paid & non-refundable status, she did help us with the additional fee that hadn't yet been added, which definitely made up the difference for us. Brianna turned what could have been a negative experience around, and her level of customer service is one of the main reasons we would love to return in the future. Also, the breakfast here was really good with a great variety of food, the property was clean with updated interior (though as an older hotel, the exterior is not perfect), super easy beach access, and every person who worked here was really nice. Really nice stay, especially for an off-season visit.
