Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port - Hotel in Fort Lauderdale - 2301 SW 12th Ave, USA

I know this hotel has gotten some recent bad reviews so I felt a need to post my own. The guy who answers the phone about the Shuttle is a bit rude. It’s obviously loop so you may work wait 30 to 40 minutes but the guy who drives the shuttle was nice. The shuttle is clean no issues there. Check in girl was very sweet and told us of the restaurants across the way if we wanted dinner. The room seemed clean (just don’t look at your white socks lol). We slept well, no issues. Breakfast was OK. Bagels, cereal, waffles, sausage, muffins,eggs that were kind of gross. Pretty typical. No real complaints.

One of the reasons we chose this place is because they advertised a shuttle service to and from the airport. Upon arrival we called the hotel and spoke with a guy with the shuttle service who told us where to go for pickup and to give them 30 - 45 mins to pick us up. After more than an hour we called the hotel again, got connected to the shuttle service where the same guy we spoke with pretended as if he had never spoken with us. At this point we took an Uber to the hotel. Upon arrival the shuttle people were at a desk next to the hotel entrance. When asked what happened, a guy with the same accent and exact same voice we had spoken with, again said we had not called them. What we observed is they were more preoccupied with getting those who were paying for morning departures to cruise ships. When complained during checkin at the front desk, we were told “They are a third party and we have no control over shuttle service pickup.” Really? So why advertise you have shuttle service and why do the shuttles have Hampton Inn on them? To make matters worse, we get to our room and it smelled like urine. We switched rooms, dropped our luggage to sightsee, only to find out when we returned there was the most disgusting linen ever on the bed. There was hair, questionable spots, and blood stains. We were tired and frustrated. Yet, we had to strip our bed, wipe down the mattress, change the linen, wipe down the room with disinfectant wipes, and spray with Lysol. We also cleaned the floor with wipes because it appeared to never have been mopped. The breakfast was mediocre. The McDonald’s across the parking lot was much better. Overall, I would never recommend the Hampton to anyone. I’m sure there are much better places to stay.

Loved staying here. They have great breakfast but most importantly they have great customer service. Lynn was so welcoming and pleasant. She strives to make everyone feel special. She made my family and I feel like at home. The kids loved “auntie Lynn”. The rooms were clean. The location is great as there are many stores walking distance. Oh, and they animal friendly.

We really liked our King room. Breakfast was good. Really liked the stay and park option. Left our car for 11 days. The parking lot was a safe place. We would have given the hotel a 5, but we had issues with the Shuttle Service to the cruise port. Would give the Shuttle Service a 2 or 3. No problem to get to the cruise port. Waited over 2 hours to get picked up. Finally used an Uber to get back to get our car. Doesn't seem to be a priority to pick up. When got back to the hotel the service was loading up people to take them. Didn't seem to have any intention to pick us up. Had paid in advance for return trip. Got our money back.

We decided to stay in Fort Lauderdale for our Christmas cruise out of the port of Miami. Airport Shuttle to hotel was a little crazy and took a little longer than I would have liked but it was Christmas and people had an unbelievable amount of luggage. I do give a lot of kudos to the shuttle driver who when he was not able to fit us all on the first round came back with a trailer attached for the extra luggage. ||The hotel was clean. Our digital key did not work so there was a little hassle of running back downstairs but not a huge deal.||Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was very good. There was plenty of seating & they were constantly cleaning and refilling the food. ||It was in an okay area. There was a great bar & grill Slackers within walking distance & a Winn Dixie & Dollar Tree for the few items we forgot.||We would stay here again.

This isn’t the Ritz Carlton but this place has everything you need, especially for people who are cruising. Convenient to both airport and cruise terminal, an Uber is going to run you about $30 for a cruise and the airport shuttle is free. They do offer transfer to cruise terminal for $22 as of this posting. Best part, the customer service is amazing. I watched the manager help the staff clean tables after breakfast and everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. They’ll gladly store your luggage if you’re leaving the cruise ship and have some time before check in. The breakfast was very good and overall, amazing value for the price! Definitely staying here on the next flight in.

If you're coming from the airport expect to wait an hour for the shuttle and expect the shuttle driver to be rude. Especially if your flight lands after 10 pm. And don't complain to the front desk because they don't care. It's not their job. We asked the Hilton Garden Inn shuttle driver for a ride because they are across the street and his response was "how much do tou want to pay" I recommend trying the Holiday Inn even though we are lifetime Diamond with Hilton.

Easily the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were filthy. The floors looked like they haven’t been mopped in months. The bottoms of our feet were black. Weird brown-diarrhea looking stains on the floors too. Breakfast wasn’t that good, but it was free. Very bad/sketchy area…cars were broken into while we stayed there. They used a third party company but The shuttles to the cruise port were extremely disorganized, almost missed our check in time. Should have just gotten an Uber instead-quicker & cheaper. The only good thing about the hotel was the front desk staff. All very nice. But for almost $300 a night, we were expecting better. We’ll never stay here again
