Can't beat a hotel in Canal Park! The rooms were very clean and had a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Free parking lot in front of the hotel. The breakfast was full with pancakes, eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cereals, fruit and yogurt. The pool is nice (starts at 3ft deep) and the workout room is small but gets the job done. The front desk staff was very kind and knowledgeable. We brought our 3yo and 6mo and kids were more than welcome. Also, you can walk right out to the lake walk and the shops in Canal Park. It is dog friendly, but we couldn't hear any barking from inside our room. Room darkening but not room blackening, the only drawback, but we are fairly particular about complete blackout for sleep so that's on us. They also have rooms with a separate bedroom from the living area space, which is nice if you have kids. We would definitely stay here again!
Awesome stay this weekend! Hotel allowed us to check in 2 hours early and allowed us to check out late on Sunday! We had an awesome view of the lake and harbor from our room. Hotel was extremely clean and the breakfast was super tasty. Best of all, our family dog Axel enjoyed the pet friendly stay! My family will be staying here next time we come back to Duluth! Thanks again
We were celebrating a special occasion: and were welcomed by the hotel and the staff, who were super responsive and kind. The location can't be beat. Room was lovely--really recommend upgrading to the Lake view, which was beautiful. The manager Chelle has really trained the staff well: the staff were uniformly courteous, professional, and helpful. The staff here makes all the difference. We enjoyed our stay very much and will return.
We had a top floor, facing away from the lake (lake view was sold out). It was quiet, clean, and a good breakfast. We didn't have a lot of time in Duluth - just a quick stay - but we had time for a very lovely walk along the boardwalk to the lighthouse and aerial bridge. Really nice stay.
Wonderful hotel! Right in canal park & close walking distance to so many great things - which really saves money on parking! Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a Hilton hotel. Beds were comfortable & our 3rd floor room was quiet. Fresh baked cookies in the lobby every evening was also a nice touch!
The room was a little tight for a family with four travelers. The wardrobe/desk/microwave/refrigerator cabinet was one large unit that took up a lot of space, but only left us with two very small drawers for storage outside of the wardrobe. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable. The location is great, close enough to walk to the lift bridge, and with a good view to watch for freighters on the horizon.
We had a wonderful 5 days at the Canal Hampton with our son, his wife, and our 3 grandkids. We were able to get adjoining rooms that helped tremendously. Breakfast was very good with very accommodating staff and an incredible view of Lake Superior. The facilities were clean and updated. They were blacktopping the parking lot which had the potential of becoming a parking disaster, but Joe, the front desk clerk (I think) worked very hard at keeping things under control. Speaking of Joe, he should be teaching classes on how to manage a front desk. He answered many questions for us and stayed so even keeled, even when things got chaotic. From check-in to check-out, he was always able to take care of our group. Thanks for a lovely stay.
The front desk is very nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and the perfect temp! The breakfast is AMAZING. The pool bottom is rough and a bit over-chlorinated, though - my sons were bothered enough by it to mention it. Overall: we had a great stay!
We had an incredible stay and loved that it was in the heart of the Lincoln Park neighborhood - there were lots of shopping and breweries within close walking distance. The room itself was amazing, very spacious and stylish and we felt right at home.

Oh my gosh.....the Speakeasy Suite is a DREAM! The bathroom is beyond amazing and it is the nicest room I have ever stayed in. The mansion is beautiful and well cared for. There is no doubt we will be back again and again. Love this place - A+++
Hostel du nord is the place to be! Wonderfully welcoming employees. These guys smile the brightest and hug the warmest. Always know which direction to point you in for good food. Rooms are always clean. And workers are always in the mood for a great
My wife and I stayed here for 1 night. We're locals. This place blew us away. We were in one of their Junior Suite King Bed Bay View rooms. It's not a "fancy" hotel, but it was very clean and well maintained. It has so many little touches that show t
Wild State Cider has so many delicious options to choose from! Hands down one of my top favorite cidery. So delicious! I didn't try them but they also have a variety of THC infused beverages if that's more your thing!
