Hampton Inn Daytona Shores-Oceanfront - Hotel in Daytona Beach Shores - 3135 S Atlantic Ave, USA

The location was good, and the view was amazing in the mornings. However, the place was not kept clean. The lobby area and halls were dirty at all times. I was about to turn around as soon as I did the check-in but couldn't find anything else for a reasonable price on that same night. The next day, I got to my stinky room at around 11 pm. and had no water pressure in my shower. I couldn't shower that night, and they said they couldn't get me any other room. If you call the night before to request a late check out, know that the person at the front desk overnight is not allowed to do that. Parking is limited, so if you get to the room late at night, you have to park across the street for the daily parking price.

Great stay. Stayed at this hotel with my significant other for 8 days at the end of September. -Staff was super accommodating and helpful when we had folks coming and going, as we had not seen family and friends for several years. Kudos to the all the desk crew, they were always so chill and personable, and I know they deal with a lot everyday. -Beachfront room had a fantastic view. Housekeeping was also great when I had them come by. They also helped me out when I accidentally forgot my key card once. -Breakfast was always very stocked and hot, the morning crew was lovely. -Appears to be one of the few hotels with beach access, huge plus! Biggest downside was the $16.50 per day parking fee. I feel like this system should be adjusted to a parking pass handed to you at check in, but not a fee. Perhaps charge if the pass is not returned, but I think per day is a little steep when you're already paying $X/per night for a room on the beach. Overall I would definitely come back here, I enjoyed my stay here very much. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is an older hotel in a great location that has renovated rooms. We would have been really happy here if not for a couple of annoying issues and one major issue. The two annoying issues are first that the elevators are obviously original and they are VERY slow old hydraulic designs. Second is the parking lot is atrocious. One of the worst designed lots I have seen in all my 57 years. The major issue is that the hotel has a serious insect issue. I don’t want to elaborate much, but the hotel must be vacated and completely treated by professionals to have any chance of getting the situation under control. It’s possible a big part of the problem is that they decided not to replace the sliding doors when they renovated the rooms. Since that would have been extremely costly, I understand the decision. But it was the wrong one because the current doors are in very poor condition with no sealing ability at all. So not only will air penetrate, but so will the pests. I’m sure the building will need professional insect treatments more often than if the doors sealed properly. Anyway, hopefully the issue will be resolved soon, as the hotel is really quite nice and the staff generally good.

Our stay at the Hampton was perfect. The room was so clean it looked brand new. The beds were comfy and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff were all so friendly and dressed nice with clean appearances. It rained on us most of the weekend so having a nice clean room to hang out in and listen to the waves from the beach was so relaxing.

The Hampton Inn was typical. Breakfast was mediocre. The breakfast area where the food was located was too small. Could use some remodeling/upgrades. The staff one the other was awesome, friendly, personable, helpful, etc. Kristi was very professional and helpful. I would have no problem staying here again.

We have stayed here several times over the years it was our go-to place at Daytona Beach Shores.||They have repainted and refurnished the rooms, which is nice. Still need the dehumidifier to be comfortable in the room. (You have to ask at the front desk for one).||They have added a fitness room on the first floor which my husband liked.||The queen bed rooms do not have a comfortable sitting chair which I think is a bad move. There is plenty of room for one. ||Even though they provide a microwave there is no table to sit at.||There is no side table on the patio for you to put a cup of coffee or a bottle of water (if they give you one). We no longer seemed to qualify for free bottled water when we arrived. (silver member)||||They have apparently abandoned the cookie at 7 p.m. in the evening.||||Breakfast was adequate but they have stopped doing the cut fruit (melon and pineapple etc)||On the whole for us it may be time to find somewhere else to stay.

Positive: It was very clean and comfortable and the staff was great. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was great and had a good selection of hot and cold food choices, it was clean and well organized.

The hotel was clean and welcoming. The breakfast was fairly good. The balcony on the hotel provided a beautiful view. The pool was great. The rooms are older and the hotel is older, but the rooms are a nice size. It is sufficient, but you won't leave thinking, Wow. The price is better than most for an ocean view.
