Hampton Inn Clearfield - Featured Reviews (593)
**this is worth the read**||||I’m a Hilton guy and decided to stop mid roadtrip from Boston to Chicago at this Hampton inn in clearfield. Here’s why this is a forever 1 star..||||1. Concierge made a joke about how I must be “ a gay” bc of my small dog, Lucy, who I was holding… I was actually speechless and offended when he said “well that’s one way to know you’re a queer.” ||||He continued with: “well, I’ll obviously be charging you a pee fee for your lil accessory.” I showed him her certificated emotional support animal form and HE DENIED IT… like, that is illegal.||||2. Got out of the shower and completely nude||a family of 3 walked into my room!! They were accidentally given the wrong key.. this was outrageous and when I went to express my shock, he did. not. care.||||3. Was charged THREE times of $160, $78 and $90. Online price is 119 and I shouldn’t have paid a pet fee… the $90 additional fee??? ||||If you’re black, gay, overweight, have a deformity, a woman, a minority or not a straight white supremacist.. do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.||||I’m still upset about this terrible experience. Please share as much as possible.
We've stayed here twice over the past 2 years. Staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms need major renovating. Broken furniture. Missing handles. Refrigerator's compressor is going and makes a constant noise. The first floor hall flooring is still uneven and a trip hazard. The free breakfast was average. Plenty of free parking. Located right off the 80 in Clearfield. Higher price for the rooms and additional cost for pets than the same brand in Dubois. Next year we'll try that one.
Stay away from this place! If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The staff's attitude was poor, and the room conditions were subpar. There was mold all around the window, and the wallpaper was peeling off, held together with rusted tacks. The mattress pad had yellow stains, triggering my allergies and asthma. When I attempted to check out, I was made to wait over an hour for a manager who never showed up. To make matters worse, they charged my card without my permission, despite my objections. The front desk attendant was unprofessional, swearing at me and blaming me for the issues. Even contacting corporate for assistance proved futile, as I was met with disrespect and indifference. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was unacceptable, with mold stains and cobwebs evident throughout. The staff's lack of name tags and basic courtesy further added to the unpleasant experience. It's disheartening to see a brand with such high standards fall short in every aspect. It's no wonder why alternatives like Airbnb are thriving.
To prevent others from experiencing the same ordeal, I highly recommend avoiding this particular Hampton Inn. Additionally, the head housekeeper's unprofessional behavior, including calling me an "f***ing liar" when confronted about the room's condition, speaks volumes about the lack of accountability and respect within the establishment. Such treatment of guests is unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of the hotel. It's crucial for management to address these issues promptly and uphold the standards expected of a reputable hospitality establishment.
Part 3. Not painted .... Toilet paper holder swings open when in use. Entry to hotel filthy looking.... To me..... Dirt everywhere, either understaffed or again owner never comes around or just doesn't care. The manager/front desk does everything. Including setting up breakfast . No store in the hotel. |
Tyler and Scott were awesome!!! Here for work and my company had a mix up with the room. These two gentlemen worked it out without any hesitations. Hats off to these guys!
FIrst, my room was a dump. There were construction problems and the handle fell off the bathroom door.
I booked my room online with their app. After receiving a receipt, the hotel later tried to add a $75 pet fee. I asked that they refund the fee, but they said they would not. The CC company reversed the charge after I contested it.
Beautiful rooms, great bathrooms, and overall very clean. Also the breakfast is always a delicious standout!
Staff very nice. Had Lab, fee and accommodations were reasonable. Even had a blanket for our dog and pads but didn't notice them until we were leaving. Breakfast was changed for Sunday morning but was ok. ||Whirlpool was not very hot and Jets didn't seem to be flowing up to par?!||Riverwalk was enjoyable with Lab! Downtown Old school with some nice History!||Enjoyed our Stay overall!

We have been longtime customers of Moena Restaurant for well over a decade, but when current owners Rob and Laura took ownership, they quite simply elevated this fine establishment to an entirely different level.
Nestled in the heart of Clearfield,
*update* we went again and got to sit on the patio, which despite being full was still quieter than the full & busy inside! The view was gorgeous and even though the servers were rushing around we still got served quickly and our food arrived hot. De
Panda Gourmet Buffet is one of the best Chinese buffets I've been to. Everything is great and the egg rolls specifically are among the best I've ever had. The only negative is that their sushi selection is pretty lackluster, so if you're looking for
Travelers on 1-80, if you are near the clearfield exit Arby's is a great stop. Arbys is right of the exit, and getting back onto I-80 is very easy.
I have been to Arby's several times, and It is a great spot to dine in or take out.
