Hampton Inn Clarksdale - Hotel in Clarksdale - 15000 New Africa Rd, USA

The stay was quiet, staff was very friendly, breakfast was very good. Last day of my stay (1/28/24) I did not appreciate having to witness a staff member that had a room their constantly walk back and forth through the packed lobby with her p.j.'s and very short pink robe on. You could barley see the p.j.'s underneath. Several times the young lady entered into the back where food is being prepped for guess. That is not a good look and very unprofessional rather it was her day off or not yet on the clock. I heard another staff member ask her 'What do you have on?' in concern for her being out of order, however the young lady felt it was o.k. I would think she'd have more respect for herself and her job. Hampton /management do better in training your workers NOT to be in the food prep area in night wear.

Mississippi you can do better. Stained upholstery, shower door was hacked and the heavy glass door would not slide so the shower was not properly cleaned, rusted grab bar. They shouldn't have even rented this room. Room was so hot, we had to turn on the AC when it was cold outside.

We generally find Hampton Inns comfortable and consistent. This hotel was a major disappointment. It is very tired looking. There was a tear in the hall carpet outside our room in the hallway. Our bathroom had dirty woodwork and the shower looked very worn . The bed and pillows were horrible and we could not control the temperature in the room. Muffins were stale on the breakfast bar. Wanted to eat pancakes, but no sugar free syrup. We would not stay there again in its current condition. The one positive was friendly staff who sought to help you anyway they could.

I would give zero stars if I could. I have stayed in several Hampton inns and many Hilton hotels. This was the worse. The bathroom shower was dirty and even had hair in it. Only reason I didn’t leave was because I had worked a 12 hour shift over night and drove 4hrs. By the time I made it for check in I was too tired to drive another hour because it’s literally nothing around there. I wouldn’t recommend this old dirty outdated hotel to anyone.I don’t think anything has been done to this hotel since it was built. The staff was friendly when I came in I guess that’s all you get being a Diamond member is a smile and a horrible room

When I visit Clarksdale Mississippi my family and I stay at the Hampton Inn because of the convenience it offers to our relatives. During this particular stay, Oct 28th-Oct 29th, I got to meet the most amazing staff! The woman that checked us in, I forgot her name, was the most pleasant, welcoming person I have ever met at this hotel. She was working all day 6am-12am and still had the most positive energy. When we came down for breakfast the next morning, she was still there interacting with the guest(she ended up working 6am Friday until about 8/9am the next day) You can tell that was just her personality… but this time she wasn’t alone the person coming on shift was also wonderful pleasant and just warm in her approach. These ladies did not realize that their energy was exactly what my exhausted family needed.

The room was clean and homely just need upgrades for the price like USB ports, complementary toothpaste and Toothbrush. I couldn’t get my WiFi to work because the system didn’t recognize my name as a guest. Other than my mentions Hampton Inn Clarksdale is a good place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay here. From some reviews, it spoke of being an older hotel but it has been well kept in my opinion and I'm a Hilton Rewards member. So, I do expect a level of quality and this one met it for a Hampton Inn and Suites. My room was clean and I liked the toiletries in bottles on the walls. I think that is an efficient use of product which is refillable and they were of good quality, nice scents. Breakfast was good and the attendant was very nice. Overall I would stay here again!

Overall clean Hotel. Maintenance is a bit outdated, and they have no problem overbooking and moving guest without notice. I suggest you have a plan b before arriving as you may not be getting the accommodations you reserved!
