5th night in a Hilton hotel. Stayed one night. Right off the highway. Quiet didn’t hear any highway noise. Staff very friendly. The hotel was clean as well as the room. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the standard cereal, waffles, eggs and bacon. Would stay again.
I do not like writing bad reviews. This is warranted though. First, the woman at the front desk was very friendly, and the check in process was very quick. On the website, it said this hotel had recently been updated. We got into our room, we almost turned around and left. The carpet was sticky, headboard extremely stained, smears of something all over the desk, mold on the bathroom walls. There were cosmetic issues as well, but we know sometimes those cannot be helped- like chips on desk, end tables, blotchy paint splatters- so those are not that important to us. We turned the AC on and it had a horrible almost urine odor to it. The bed actually was creaky and noisy with any movement. I have never stayed in a Hampton bed that made that much noise. Breakfast seemed very limited for a Hampton. Love the Hampton brand, and unfortunately this did not hold up to the name at all.
I was traveling north and stopped along the way to rest. I got the last room available that night. It was very clean and exactly what I needed for the night. The updated room didn't feel like it was just a coat of paint. I liked the 11AM check out. Having my name on the TV to welcome me was a nice touch. The staff were very nice. ||Breakfast was the standard buffet but they kept it well stocked. I do wish they'd had orange juice vs flavored water, though. ||Hotel was not far off the NJ Turnpike and honestly more economical than I expected for being located where they might catch weary travelers (like me). I didn't linger in the area long but I did notice nearby gas stations. Getting back on the highway was easy. Parking is free (no valet) and I didn't feel unsafe. ||I didn't use the amenities but I did notice a self-serve laundry room. I think it was $4 a load, but honestly so few hotels even have one that it's a great thing to see when you've been on the road a bit or have small children. They also seemed like full sized washers/dryers, too, not those little half sized things some places grudgingly put in. ||The ice maker was also positioned so I personally didn't hear it at night and though I did hear highway traffic I also chose a hotel near a highway. Not that big a deal. The shades were nice and the temp control worked well. Beds were comfy and there were PLENTY of outlets and charging ports.||My only complaints (barely) are that the mini fridge didn't seem to be keeping very cool and the food area for breakfast was a little small/tight. I've had problems with mini fridges at many hotels so I am not much bothered unless it's a long stay. A long buffet vs a U shaped room might help the flow. ||I'd stop here again.
The room was fine. Continental breakfast was average- fake eggs with no salsa plus lots of sugar & corn syrup, with multiple choices of high fructose corn syrup on the side. 🫤|We stayed here cheap with points, so it was fine. Nothing was noteworthy, really.
Room was decent, but 2 issues-the bed pillows are horrible, plus the toilet paper holders were broken-couldnt unroll paper had to take the paper roll & it on the counter. Aside from that, the free breakfast had a very good selection.
Positive: Nothing, because I did not really stay there Negative: Customer service. The front desk lady did not allow us to park our box truck in their parking lot then we left. They refused to issue a refund which makes no sense. Negative: ""
Positive: We visit this area several times a year and we have stayed here in the past. For the past several years we haven't because it became dated. We were surprised to see they update it and it's beautiful. The staff is very good. Negative: The hotel is located next to a truck stop. Our room was on the 1st floor on the truck stop side. Traffic all night was busy and loud. It was hard to sleep. We also did not get our Hilton Honors credit or our welcome gifts for being members. Negative: ""
Do not stay at this motel… I have stayed at this location for 20 years…. Recently they decided to charge credit cards immediately for $100 for incidentals… and not refund it for 10 days!!! Evidently the owner is in financial difficulty and decided to use clients money for 10 days. My receipt showed the $100 as being refunded… but it was not and won’t be till the10 days have passed… enjoy the float… my last stay.! Your own person told me you held the funds…. And I have never had this happen in hundreds of stays ….check the records ;it was not my money as I use a corporate card. I was kind in the review… the condition of the property has declined dramatically in the past few years. I stay at Hilton properties weekly… yours is the only one with this issue…. Kinda tells me who is dispensing falsehoods! I by the way I am a Lifetime Diamond member…… You know how many stays that represents??? Check your dates guy… Presidents Day was Monday… the stay was Tuesday…. obviously had nothing to do with it! What’s the 16th got to do with anything??? I hope your not really the owner.
I only went here for an embroidery class, but the rooms were an appropriate size for the class. I did hear from a few people that stayed at the hotel overnight, that it was a bit expensive. I however, live close enough that I didn't need to stay a
went out for dinner with friends here and it quickly became a cherished night out! the aesthetic and decor inside is not like a restaurant weâve ever been to before and it was refreshing! for food, we ordered the tapas tower and everything came out
Hands down best bagels. The service is quick, friendly, easy going but professional. Unique selection of bagels and handmade cream cheese and butters. If you havenât had a chance to get here please do. Can get busy but worth the wait!
We completely enjoyed or dining experience on Friday 1/12/24. Each individual dish from salad to desert was exceptional. Deanâs music was special. And our server Jessica was gracious, acommodating, and funny - all three. We hope to return again for
Have to check out this cream of crab soup and the coffee, AWSOME!!!! the service was perfect, and Cheryl made our first ( but not last). Visit there a wonderful time. You HAVE to go visit this diner, and you will not be sorry.
We just happen to be in the area and in need of some breakfast, and happened to end up at the town and country diner. What good fortune we had! We were greeted by a bunch of Girl Scouts, who were eager to sell their cookies, and we were eager to buy.
