Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee Capitol - University - Hotel in Tallahassee - 824 Railroad Ave, USA

This hotel has become my go to when staying in Tallahassee for a couple of reasons. I’ve stayed here close to 20 nights and have never had an unpleasant experience so it is consistent. Staff are always pleasant. Gym is fantastic. Breakfast area and quality is above average for a Hampton. Plenty of options nearby for dinner as well.

I live this new and clean hotel. The bed is nice and new. The room is clean and new. The AC worked like a champ. The room service was great and reliable. Breakfast is nothing special but is good. Typical Hampton food. The location is perfect if you want to be downtown to either of the uni. Campuses. Walk to. FSU. Many bars and restaurant to walk to.

5 ⭐️ Great experience! Front desk agent was very nice. Parking is $15 plus tax per night ($16.13) Hotel has pool fitness center & laundry room and breakfast. Didn’t use any of this but that’s because I only stayed for one night. Will definitely be staying again! Hotel is pet friendly. Beds are super comfortable. Highly recommend! 👏🏻

Very clean and well organized. Rooms are spacious. Hotel has laundry machines and a very nice gym. Breakfast is good and offered from 7-10am. Large parking lot-self-service at $15 a day. Staff is nice and helpful. You’d enjoy staying here.

Close to university but far from interstate. Comfortable bed. Horrible breakfast. Coffee and waffle batter both seem watered down. Sausage doesn't look or smell like meat. My family could only stomach one bite. They charge for self parking. The Hampton Inn in Marianna was much better.

Safety issues! The second day of our stay the hotel lost power and the stairwells never had emergency lighting turned on. The staff was putting dollar store glow lights in the hallways. The generator apparently didn’t work and the employees were asking customers if they could fix it. Management never communicated anything about the loss of power or if it would be turned back on. Management never returned any calls regarding the loss of power. When we left we still had no power, no hot water, no working elevator, and still had not heard a word from any of the staff. Thank you for your reply. I thank you for letting us know quite a bit later that you have resolved your problems with the building. However, we tried contacting the hotel manager during the outage and a week later, then two weeks later. Still have no response. We wanted reimbursement for the 2nd night of our stay, since we had to leave the hotel after the first night. Also, we would hope that the hotel would improve the communication policy regarding any situation like that; power outages, no a/c, no ice, etc. There are typically surveys and texts sent to the guests during their stay so it was completely possible that the hotel could have communicated during the power outage.

Rooms are clean and spacious. They don’t mention parking is $15 per night when booking over the phone. Great location. Nice staff. Walking distance to local restaurants. Publix is right next door.

I was comfortable. Not too fancy, but reasonable. I noted a pool. I especially liked their continental breakfast which included eggs and waffle. My breakfast was included. Coffee was always available, any time. Close to Florida State University; about 1 mile walk to the center of the university. A bit noisy at night as much was going in in the street. Several good restaurants around.
