Hampton Inn & Suites St. Louis-Edwardsville - Hotel in Glen Carbon - 5723 Heritage Crossing Drive, USA

This is the most horrendous hotel I have ever stayed in and I average 30 hotel stays a year. We arrived a day early for a busy conference to allow our son to swim. It started with the pool being closed “for cleaning”. We placed some items in the fridge and discover a used icepack with bloody gauze attached. Should have been a red flag to run. However, we quickly unloaded and left for dinner/shopping. Upon our return we realize there are several species of dead bugs throughout the room. Next, we find some kind of animal feces under the desk. At that point they offer to move us to the 3rd floor which was under construction and looked like walking through a horror film. There was trash stacked 3 ft high by the elevator. Room was a little better but top sheet was stained, the bathroom had no toilet paper and used toilet paper behind the trash can. Bathtub had pubic hair in it. The manager gave a 50% discount however we should not have paid anything and would have moved for the night but could not find vacancy near us. We did move the next morning to a Hampton in a nearby town which was outstanding. I will never return and will be sure our very large organizational partners follow suit! Just horrendous!

We arrived shortly after midnight, and walked into a 3rd floor room with food on the floor, a stain on the comforter, and a footprint in the shower. There were also signs that said a stay of multiple nights will not be serviced every night, which I found unusual. We immediately requested a refund, we didn't receive it nearly a month later, have not had calls left with the manager's voicemail returned, and now we're opening a service ticket with Hilton directly to get our money back on the 5 minutes we were there. Most Hampton Inns on our cross-country trip were great. This was the grand exception.

This is the worst motel I have ever seen that was part of the Hilton chain. Our room had no television so they moved us to a second room. It had no lights in the bathroom and there was supposedly no way to fix it. So we moved to a third room. The entire hotel is filthy. Furniture and and carpet worn out. Breakfast was bad. We stay in Hilton properties all the time. Diamond members. This place is the absolute worst

As a hilton honor member since 1993, this has to be one of the worst properties i've ever stayed in! I realize you're trying to do an upgrade.And i'm on the third floor which looks like it disaster because of the remodeling but seriously supposedly the room I chose has been redone. Upon walking in my room smelled Is horrible, And being someone that stays in hotels a hundred plus nights yearly I checked the heating and cooling element filters first. Obviously when doing the remodel to the room.They were never taken out and cleaned they were so caked with dust and dirt. I knew I was not going to get a better room so I cleaned them. I also found trash under the couch.And the floor is staying beyond belief with dirt. I will never stay at this property again.

I have had occasion to stay here several times over last few years. Recently in March. The hotel has a convenient location just off interstate and near the small town of Glen Carbon. There are ample dining options in town and shopping as well. While, I appreciate the Hampton breakfast - it was not well presented and stocked. Some items were cold or empty. The hotel is in need of updates and renovation/redecorating. It still meets standards but time is wearing on it and they need a redo. I might or might not stay with them again, as a Diamond member. |If needing to be in GC area it is convenient but there could be better value options.

I have three expectations when I stay in a hotel. I'm guessing it's the same three as most average middle income people 1. Cleanliness 2. Decent bed 3. Hot shower. Hilton properties all over the country have been disappointing me with my #3 over the past year. I'm not sure if there is a new company policy or what, but I've had more miserably cool showers than I've ever had. This is super disappointing because I'm a gold member and I really don't want to switch hotel chains. I just want a hot shower every time.

Upon checkin staff was friendly, common area looked clean and well kept. Elevator lacked in appeal & cleanliness. The hallway walls are terrible looking, & rundown. The room was decent, the bathroom, is bad! The sink area (wood) is severely worn out, the floor is/was slippery/slimy and sticky, no extra toilet paper, no Kleenex and the shower is not hot!! There is mold all along the shower sliding door & the shower floor is filthy. Also, spit spots are on the mirror. Truly unacceptable!! I am booked for two nights and very tempted to cancel the second night a stay someplace else. Hilton properties are a hit or miss. This one is a huge miss. This place needs to do better. Just gross and disgusting for my liking.

The only reason I gave it one star was because I couldn’t give it 0. This was the most awful hotel that I have ever stayed in. The room was dark and dingy. The mattress was so flimsy that you sunk all the way down in it. The blinds were broke so that you couldn’t open them to get any light. (See posted photo) The shower was gross. The hotel doors were not locked at night so anyone could just walk in. Overall, a horrible experience.
