My hotel room was not cleaned properly. We found hair in the tub, hair on the shampoo pumping station, and old used soap in the soap dish in the bathroom from the last guest!!!!! I legit almost washed my toddler in a dirty tub. The lady at the front desk was super sweet and literally cleaned my bathroom. She deserves a raise and a lot of recognition. The breakfast was awesome. That bathroom situation just ruined all the other great aspects of our stay.

This was probably one of the worst stays I have ever had at this hotel. We used to stay here before the pandemic with minimal issues, but that is a distant memory of the past. I want to start out by saying that the service is great. Everyone is friendly and as accommodating as possible. They truly try to compensate for the flaws of the property with their customer service. It’s actually unfair to them that upper management/ownership has neglected to upkeep the property. My main issue is that this property is full of issues and broken things. We changed rooms 3 times and still had issues. The first room had a mildew smell in the carpet. The 2nd room was infested with ants to the point that we couldn’t even use the fridge/microwave because it was covered in ants. The 3rd room had no hot water and a broken thermostat. The staff admitted they have an ant problem but they couldn’t do anything besides offer spray or move us to another room that had a different set of issues. So I paid full price for subpar rooms with no compensation or a decent night’s sleep without fear of bugs crawling all over me. I won’t even get into the lack of diversity in the hot breakfast or the other cosmetic fixes that this hotel needs. Whoever owns this property is doing a disservice to their employees. You expect their kindness to compensate for your lack of maintenance to your property and that is not how a successful business is run. If you are thinking about staying at this property I would advise you to throughly check your room before putting your belongings down. If you can find a property in the area that has better reviews of their rooms STAY THERE INSTEAD. They have a lot of work to do and I’m strongly considering my loyalty to the Hilton brand after this stay.

I usually never leave a review for hotel considering I stay at so many often but I had to leave one for this location. I’m writing this a week after my stay. During the night of my stay and the day I checked out I was bit by some type of insect. I’m still recovering from the bug bites now. I think it was bed bugs but cannot confirm.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Do NOT stay here unless you want to be bitten by bed bugs!!! And have the management do absolutely NOTHING about it. Please please stay somewhere else. This hotel should be shut down. They are well aware of their bed bug infestation and have taken ZERO steps to fix the problem. This is the dirtiest filthiest hotel I have ever stayed at. Management is a joke. Hilton should be ashamed to have this location

I needed a hotel for a wedding I was going to. There were a few choices to choose from. I chose this as it had an indoor pool. Upon arriving to hotel there were water heaters outside the front doors in shipping boxes. The Friday we got there, we were saddened the pool was closed. The room seemed clean but dust was everywhere and only half a roll of toilet paper was on the roll. We went to sleep and were annoyed due to half of curtin being sheer and the parking lot lights brightening up the room. Then, the next morning the breakfast (scrambled eggs and sausage patty) was cold, even though it was in a chaffing dish. I went back up to the room to take a shower. No hot water. I also woke up and my friend with red puffy eyes. Unsure if they wash the sheets or if it had to do with the feather pilows. No one was at front desk and I was in a hurry to go help set up this wedding. I got back to the hotel and my friend said there was still no hot water. We had to take showers for the wedding and for hygiene purposes as well. We went to wedding where other people were disappointed in not being able to take showers either. We got back to the hotel that night and I asked about the hot water as someone was finally at the desk. This young girl giggled as she said "sorry I forgot to turn it on this morning. It's all good for you to take one now." Anyways, I am very displeased. I tried to reach out to Traveluro but they were horrible and so is this hotel in refusal of a credit or refund. I could have gone to other hotels for less than half the price I paid. I am beyond disappointed and the lack of professionalism the employees at the desk have. The manager was not available when I called down and arrived at desk.

Pros: Good location in the heart of Smithfield. Staff was friendly. Cons: Other than in the front entrance the Hotel wasn't very clean. There were crumbs in the hallway, elevator had a weird smell, and the glass windows in the hallway were disgusting on the second floor. The rooms are overpriced and look very outdated. My Husband and I checked out early after laying in bed and feeling a pinching sensation as if bugs were biting us. I attempted to call the Manager Mrs. Harris twice even leaving voice messages to notify her of what happened during our stay but no call back as of yet. Update: It's been 3 weeks and still no return phone call from Ms. Harris. I was given a false email address by Staff. Also, I was given an incorrect number for the Corporate office. I would avoid this Hotel. It's obvious Staff is well aware of the bug infestation and avoid Customers who desire to express concerns regarding the problem.
