Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah/Midtown - Featured Reviews (1318)
Nice hotel. Beds are a bit hard and I had trouble keeping the room cool enough for me. The breakfast was average but appreciated. Very spacious rooms and a great fit for our size family. If you don't need to be near Riverfront it's a great option.
I was very hesitant to book this hotel because of some of the negative reviews, but it ended up being a really good experience. Our room (king room with pullout sofa) was spacious and included a wet bar, mini fridge, and microwave. Having the extra sink there and a mirror on the closet door allowed us to get ready more quickly. There's also a full size desk with comfy rolling chair, sofa bed, and two large night stands (one on either side of the king bed). There were several hangers in the closet along with an iron/ironing board (the iron needed replacing, it was worn out), a blanket for the sofa bed, and a luggage rack. There are also two small hassock type pieces of furniture on wheels which could easily be moved around for seating or we used them for our suitcases. The bathroom is an all-in-one room, and I prefer the sink to be on the outside, separate from the shower/toilet. The shower is pretty dated but worked fine. The furniture is dated and beginning to show signs of wear, but it was functional for us, and I have no major complaints. When we arrived, they only had 2 towel sets in the bathroom, and there were 3 of us on the reservation. So we had to ask for more towels. They do not provide housekeeping for short stays, so we had to take out our own garbage, which is kind of annoying, but not a deal breaker. Free breakfast was good. This is one of the few hotels in Savannah that provides self-parking. We loved that and were happy to pay the $7 a day to have it. We parked at garages in the historic district for just a few dollars an hour and never had a problem finding parking anywhere.
The front desk attendant was not a warn and friendly person. Breakfast was supposed to be until 10 am. I arrived at 9:30, there was only 1 egg omelet left and 1 cup of coffee before it was empty. The bread was crumbling apart. I forgot my sundress and night gown hanging behind the bathroom door, and when I called, the front desk forwarded me to the housekeeping list and found, which was an answering service. After 3 days of calling, nobody has tried to call me back. 😞
The front desk crew was amazing! They were friendly and very helpful! We even received text messages from April throughout our stay. The room was clean and very nice (updated too). We have stayed at many Hampton Inn’s and this one is probably the best one yet! It’s updated and very clean looking. Breakfast area was kept very clean the whole time we were there and that’s saying a lot because there were several High Schools BETA teams staying there during our stay.
We arrived in Savannah late Friday night. We initially had a reservation at another hotel and it was disgusting. So after trying to find another room for the weekend, we enter the Hampton around 1 AM. The woman at the front desk was so nice and patient with me. Luckily, they had rooms. The room was extremely clean, it was like a brand new hotel. The bathroom was spotless, including the tub and toilet. The sheets were clean, the fridge was clean. The staff are so incredibly friendly. The breakfast was good. The pool was clean. On the day we checked out, we saw the housekeeping and we were so impressed they clean everything, the shower curtains, the bedsheets and blankets. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to others.
The stay here was not what I expected. First trying to get help with things that were not clean or was missing in the room was horrible. Staff was rude and dismissive when trying to communicate with every time we entered into the lobby. the Clark behind the desk was eye rolling and leaning like she was bothered by the guest entering. The breakfast bar was trash. Over cooked and juice was watered down fruit was not fresh at all… Now for the mess they call a room. Sheet had to be changed because they look they been slept on. The stains on the wall next to the bed was very noticeable. Had to stop the house keeping and get thing to clean the bathroom ourselves because they said it had been clean before arrival but it was blonde hair everywhere in the bathroom and the toilet had something in idk what that was but after having to do this thing ourselves was very much a problem.. the manager skinny black lady was the rides of all will not be returning..
Great place to stay, only about 15-20 minutes from Savannah's riverfront. Parking and breakfast on site. Good indoor pool (unheated). Was very quiet, despite there being multiple conventions in town and there being work done by a power wash truck next to the parking deck one day. Rooms are spacious. Would stay again.
My husband & I stayed in a king room suite on the 4th floor. Check in went well. The staff was friendly. The room was fairly large, clean and had a small kitchen area with a microwave, fridge & sink. We did get a text during the first day asking if we needed anything. It's nice to know they are available to help if needed. Breakfast was the usual Hampton style with a decent choice of items. There was an indoor pool but we didn't use it. Parking was in their garage for $7/night.

Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
