Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District - Hotel in Savannah - 603 W Oglethorpe Ave, USA

Could have been a 5. First room was incredibly musty. Probably mold in the room / AC. Had to request to move to a different room after a night , then everything was good. Attitude from some servers for breakfast. It’s a buffet right, leave people to their food. Otherwise love the location. Parking is easy. Nice hotel overall. Worth a stay.

The hotel was so nice and the staff helpful and friendly. This was the first Hampton Inn to have concierge service. It was helpful to get directions to a local restaurant and to book a tour we wanted to take.|This hotel was conveniently located to many tour destinations, parks, restaurants, and shopping.|The room was spacious, clean and quite comfortable.|We would stay here again.

I came to Savannah for a medical conference. Staff is not friendly. Parking lot is very small and the big parking lot was in the back of another hotel. It was also completely full. Staff here was not able to help despite the fact parking fee was already paid. I will recommend to stay in another hotel with ample space for the guests. It’s not worth spending that much money!

There is s much that can be done to make this a nice hotel. Our room was massive. It was an "upgraded" queen suite. It came with 2 queen beds, sofa bed, kitchenette, business/work area, sitting area. My problem, it was filthy. Please see the attached pictures. Also, there's much to be desired in terms of customer service. The guest services agents weren't rude, just very reserved...no smiles, short-to the point answers. The lock on my locked suitcase was missing when i returned to retrieve it. I left it at the front desk while i waited to check in at the Embassy Suites, which sits parallel to this place. The manager was very unconcerned that the lock was missing and stated, "Well, if it shows up, I'll call you." The breakfast was good. The concierge was helpful. This hotel could be 4 stars if not for the guest services agents and just raggedy, unkempt spaces. Look at the pictures and decide for yourself.

The Hampton Inn and Suites Savannah Historic District is conveniently located in a very good part of the city for access to the historic sites. The room was large enough and clean. The building is nice but its age is starting to show with small details. The staff were nice and the lady at check in was very friendly.

Nice hotel! Lobby is beautiful and concierge was very nice with recommendations. Parking is small right outside the hotel but there is a parking deck nearby that they validate. Great location and walking distance to a lot of things in Savannah!

Excellent location to walk around Savannah beautiful History District. Park your car in one of the two parking garages nearby then put away your key until the day you check out! Friendly staff eager to help you with information to enjoy your stay. Spacious clean room with outdoor pool, and decent free breakfast offerings. Great for families with children.

Being Hilton members we expect a certain amount of “friendliness” and welcoming from staff. Our front desk check in was amazing, recognizing we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. She was kind, professional and just so sweet. What we could not believe was the GM on Thursday 4/25, in the afternoon, would walk right by you and not say a word. Nothing. And the AM front desk employee on Thursday and Friday was in nowhere land. Checking out, she asked me “Do you need me to check you out?” Um. What?! Yes, I have keys in hand and am looking at you. She never asked how our stay was, etc. No manners at all, no safe travels. Nothing. Not a one smile from that employee…and there was no line and it was an empty front desk. |The parking is an issue and we lucked out getting a space in the hotel area. Feel so bad for the others that had to walk to wherever to get their cars parked. The food here was just not up to speed for what your room rate is. We stayed in Knoxville TN Hampton Inn and it was an amazing breakfast!!!! Please take a look at what you are serving, heat temperature of food, restocking condiments, etc. I want others to know who are thinking of coming to Savannah to know there are some issues that we noticed, and need some work. Know that your rooms are NOT cleaned daily, and for a 2 night stay, they are never cleaned. Check with the front desk. The hotel is close to the Historic District (in the District?) but you need to maneuver across MLK Avenue to get to the area. We enjoyed our “out of hotel” experiences immensely and Savannah is a lovely city, offering something for all. The hotel has some work to do with staff.
