When you book a Hampton, you want consistent service no matter where you are traveling. I liked this location in Salinas. Check-in was straightforward. The hotel's amenities are up to date and I was impressed with the breakfast. Unfortunately, the price for the overnight stay was above average. An overnight stay at the Hampton should not cost more than 120 dollars.

Staff, 5 stars. Friendly and accommodating.|Room. 4 1/2 stars. Clean. Comfortable. The shower head has seen better days. Time to replace. Soft towels. |Location: 2 stars. The hotel has a freeway homeless camp behind it. And its neighboring building is a converted hotel that helps get homeless folks off the street and into housing. That’s a wonderful thing but not really where I want to stay and feel safe. I was concerned about my car since there were signs posted everywhere in the hotel suggesting your car is likely to get broken into if you leave anything in it. |There’s a secure parking structure under the hotel that gets locked at midnight and opened at 5am.

Everything is great. The staffs are super friendly. I don’t like all the plates, cups, utensils are “paper recyclable”. To me, they will just end up in the landfill. I hope there can be a more environmentally friendly approach.

Stayed here for 5 days to volunteer at the AT&T Pro Am. The rooms were clean, roomy and modern. The hot breakfast was very nice and had a variety of items daily. The bed was comfortable and didn't hurt my back. Parking was outside and underground which was good when it was raining. I wish it was closer to shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I will never come to this location again. The front desk lady, Michelle, needs to be re-educated on what proper customer service is within the hospitality industry! All other staff were superb, but she was in a league of her own.Such a shame, for the price we paid, to be treated so horribly. Find another brand to go to in Salinas, because Michelle ruined it for the Hilton name

I had a great stay at this hotel! It's super clean and feels really safe, which was important to us. We arrived for a late check-in around midnight, and Crystal at the front desk was amazing! She was so friendly and full of energy, making us feel really welcome. Crystal made sure we got checked in smoothly and made sure everything was taken care of for us! The breakfast was buffet-style and delicious, with plenty of options to choose from. One thing I really appreciated were the blackout curtains in the room – they made it easy to sleep in without any morning sunlight creeping in. The room was also mich larger than expected! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely stay here again on my road trips!

3.5 stars. Stay was okay but on the lower end of what I expect from Hilton. Arrival was a bit of a mess. There was a wait to get a physical key and although we picked a room in the app, we were put in a different room. The room was large and nice but the outside noise kept us up most of the night and the bed was okay but not great. There was an also a large water stain on the ceiling of our room, which is not something I would expect to find at a Hilton hotel. Breakfast was okay and slightly hectic as they seemed slightly understaffed. Happy we only had to stay 1 night in this location.

My family and I stayed here for almost a week while my husband was on a work trip. I have pretty high standards when it comes to stays away from home. The rooms were very clean and comfortable to sleep in. The mattresses we had must have been new but they were great for all the nights we were there. The TVs let you access your Netflix account which was nice. The complimentary breakfast was good and a plus- it saved us tons of money every morning. Their amenities worked while we there- the pool, gym and laundry were all accessible. We stayed at another Hampton Inn in Buellton earlier in the year and while we preferred the amenities at that location, this location was overall much better for the longer stay in terms of customer service and care, and the cleanliness and comfortability of the room. Even though this hotel looks like it is in a rough area, it felt very safe and made it easy to get to the coast for our day trips. Plus there’s a Starbucks in the same parking lot for your convenience. Last but not least, the customer service was top notch. You can tell all of the employees are working really hard to make it a comfortable place. Our favorite was Crystal - she was awesome, welcoming and accommodating! My kids really appreciated her help too! If we are ever in the area again, we will not hesitate to be back.
