Its been awhile since I stayed at a Hampton Inn. The staff was super friendly and efficient. They checked me in and added my rewards card with no problem. The room was super clean and cold. I had to turn down the AC .....lol The only small problem I could detect was some water leakage around shower and a slow bathroom drain in sink. I felt safe. I also had a wireless charging station for my phone which is new. I have not had that before. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I checked into the hotel Sunday Evening, July 7th for a 2 week reservation which I eventually extended my stay an additional week due to work requirements. The first night, the toilet ran constantly which they fixed the next day after I requested maintenance to fix it, no big deal. I requested housekeeping services every other day which sometimes did not happen. On July 17th, after arriving from work, I discovered the shower gel was empty which housekeeping had done their service that day. It was refilled the next day again after I requested. (Should I have to ask). But again, no big deal. On Friday, July 19th, almost 2 weeks into my stay, I had to request housekeeping to vacuum my room (I work construction so my boots track dirt despite my efforts to clean them before entering the hotel) after it had not been done the entire stay so far. Again not a big deal, but should I have to ask, it was very obvious that it needed to be done. Here is the big deal and why I am writing a review. On Wednesday, July 24th, I notified the desk clerk that I will be checking out on Friday instead of Saturday, an entire 36 hours before I planned on leaving. The desk clerk informed me that they would be charging me a $50 early departure fee. I asked seriously and she said yes. The next day I called the hotel and inquired about the fee again and the person who answered the phone told me there was nothing she could do about it. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager identified herself as Ashley and she again told me there was nothing she could do about it. I told her I had stayed there for the past 2 and half weeks and gave you plenty of notice I was leaving early and she refused to do anything about it. I have stayed close to 100 nights this year in a Hilton Family hotel. There has been a couple of times where I checked out early expecting to get charged extra because I gave them no notice and was told don’t worry about it, we hope your enjoyed your stay and please come back. But not at the Hampton Inn, Port St. Lucie. Well you may have gotten $50 for nothing but you lost a customer. I will be back in town next week for another extended stay and another hotel will get my money. I could not find any mention of a early departure fee on their website. I hope the $50 was worth it. Even more importantly, I hope other travelers see that you are not willing to work with customers and that you are only interested in getting every penny you can get and decide to stay elsewhere as well!!!!!!!!!

Website says that this location is going through major renovations, so as to be expected the parking lot was half empty last night as well as early this morning. Breakfast served from 6 to 10, however there were only a few people/guests that passed through during the time that I was there. It would normally be very busy. Room was okay, carpets were kind of dirty and the first thing I saw when I first entered my room was a wood and leather luggage stand that was in very bad condition and that was torn to shreds. Definitely not up to Hilton standards! Since the property is half empty and is undergoing major renovations, I figured that I would ask for a late check out at 1pm, regular time is 12pm, and their website also states that AARP members MAY be able to have a 2pm check out depending on availability. When I asked, I was informed that Ashley, the manager, said that I could only have until 12:30pm and that if I wanted to stay the extra half hour till 1pm, I’d have to pay a $75 late check out fee….unbelievable! I was a Diamond (top tier) Honors member for many years, however over the past few years the Hampton Inn brand by Hilton is no longer what it use to be, and the standards of quality are no longer up to par, and operate at bare minimal standards. Just one of the reasons I switched my loyalty to another chain and am no longer one of Hiltons top tier members. Think twice before you choose this location. You may not like what you see and experience!

I love Hampton Inn, but usually find cheaper accommodations, these days. From the fresh-baked cookies to the room decor, everything seems to work. Except the ice machine on this trip. I was too tired to track one down on another floor. I do not like their breakfast - which is every tasteless microwave item you would expect. Except for the waffles you make yourself. Coffee is good.

I never write bad reviews, but this one is warranted. I had a family EMERGENCY last Tuesday, flew down at 4 am worked all day on the emergency and finally at 5 pm needed a room, went to book it, on HUMAN ERROR, I was defaulted to a day in November and booked a non-refundable rate…I realized it within 5 mins went straight to the hotel to fix it in person to find out they were sold out anyhow because of renovations, gentleman at desk said Priceline needed to fix it, but Priceline called yesterday and Ashley (a manager with no direct report) refused to approve it. Try some empathy, there is always a fix to a problem and book the Holiday Inn express across the street, their renovations are complete and their staff is happy and overly accommodating. And Ashley, I pray you never make a mistake!

*you clearly can’t trust google reviews as the rating on here is on average 2 points higher than in other sites. Roaches in room and hair all over the room. Was not offered a new room due to being at capacity, no offer for a refund, or an apology. Stay elsewhere!

Positive: Very easy to get in and out, wireless charger on the bedside table, shower doors were amazing Negative: Found a claw from a cat in our blanket, found a rubber bone in the fold up bed from the sofa (kid loved it but showed that it wasn?t properly cleaned). TV would reset volume and turn off automatically every night/morning which is a pain.

I want to thank Mary for helping my daughter and her family through a tough time. After being stuck on the side of the road late at night...she helped them get checked in and was sympathetic to the fact that there car was dead and had to sit in the parking lot for a couple of days. They checked in real late...last minute. She was accommodating to my daughter who was struggling to keep it together for her children. That was not all...after things did not go well the next day she checked them back into the hotel without any problems! This is an amazing lady that went above and beyond for my family!!!!!! Thank you Mary, you are an amazing, wonderful person!
