In need of repair in some areas. Shower area had a crack in tile all the way across to ceiling. Wallpaper had cracks. |Toilet would not stop running. Husband had to fix it. Tired of listening to it. |Breakfast was 20 minutes late opening. The front desk employee was actually preparing it because the kitchen person showed up late. While waiting, drank coffee and it was COLD! What was most disturbing was the front desk person putting food on trays dropped it and landed on floor. He LITERALLY PICKED IT UP AND PUT IT BACK ON TRAY! Then quickly closed the door. We DID NOT eat there. |Our bill was completely wrong. We had to wait until 8:00 for someone to come in who could rectify it. Totally ridiculous to make people wait because we weren’t the only ones. There should be someone there to take care of any problems at any time. A lot of people check out before 8:00. |Our Hampton Inn Days are probably over.

On the way back from Colorado for a family road trip, we had car problems in Omaha and stayed at the Hampton Inn over the Labor Day weekend waiting for the garages to open on Tuesday morning to get it fixed. We were dealing with all sorts of issues and Cynthia at the front desk was a god-send. It was a busy weekend with a nearby soccer tournament, but she found us a room for Saturday (a Suite was the only thing available) and then helped us move to a smaller, more affordable room for the rest of our wait to get the car fixed. She also helped us find nearby places to eat and entertain ourselves. The hotel itself was fine. Our room was good and everything was as advertised, but the staff of the hotel was the real star for this stay.

Great location, walkable food. Nice pool, clean, good breakfast. They had a gym but I did not use it. They had construction going on in the lobby. Fire alarm went off one morning. Water was turned off multiple times. None of this was communicated to us. If this was a test or planned or an actual emergency but this might explain why it was cheaper than normal during these days. There was no remote in the room but I don't watch TV so... who cares. I'm sure they would have fixed it if I asked. I was double charged for the room, or maybe my security deposit was not just a hold, either way $215 for 2 days. I called and they said they would refund me ASAP

My one-night experience here was pleasant enough - I found my room essentially functional and properly stocked and mostly clean, except for some weird stubborn little spots of dark brown (or deep reddish?) sticky mystery substance on the entryway and bathroom floors that had probably gotten wiped over, again and again, but didn't budge, so housekeepers probably just gave up. Anyway, I scrubbed these off because I could, using disinfectant wipes I'd brought and several moments of sustained determined effort. All staff I encountered I found doing their bests to be helpful and cheery.

We stopped for a night while moving daughter cross country. I expected more from a Hilton property. Positives: easy check in ( but digital key never received), I was able to select our rooms online, staff preparing coffee and breakfast in the morning was friendly and delightful. Negatives: dirty sink and backsplash, dirty shower, no shower gel (dispenser missing) shampoo and conditioner containers empty. Elevators dirty with debris and garbage on the floor the whole stay. Big stains on common hall carpets. Dried blood on the pillowcase my daughter slept on- discovered in the morning. Definitely not hers. Mattresses really really firm causing hip and back pain in the morning. We paid for 2 rooms, slept for 4 hours 😢. Unfortunately would not recommend this hotel to future travelers, I wish we had stayed at the embassy suites across the street.

Have stayed at this location several times over the past few years, and never had any issues. Just stayed this month (August 2024) and was very disappointed. The room had been updated in furnishings but cleanliness was very lacking. The bathroom had hair and nail clippings all over, and several mold spots on the ceiling above the shower. The recycle bin had not been emptied when we checked in. The very disappointing part is that there were some kind of bugs - maybe bed bugs, as the next morning I had many bug bites. When we checked out, the front desk just happened to ask about the cleanliness of the room. We did let them know of some of the issues and we're told that just recently the entire cleaning staff had been let go. At this point, I don't know if I would stay there again.

My wife and I have traveled across the country almost every year since 2008. We travel with our service dog, Greta. This year we went on a different route and traveled south through New Orleans and into Texas where my grandson was graduating from high school. We drove almost 4000 miles on our way west. On our return trip we took a shorter route and took I80 most of the way. We stayed in Hampton Inns at each stop and stayed in the following cities: Wells NV, Rock Springs WY, Sidney NE, Omaha NE, Peru IL, Elyria, OH and Sayre, PA. One change I noticed is that all of the Hampton Inns had a bar of soap in addition to the liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. Last year it was erratic where some had soap and many did not. I also noticed minor issues at each stop, e.g. broken sash cord on a window, loose handles in the shower, and a dangling smoke alarm from the ceiling. We also stayed in some rooms that had been recently remodeled, which was nice. The biggest difference between the hotels is the morning breakfast. My wife and I do not eat beef or pork. Only a few hotels served eggs without meat. It would be great if the breakfast foods offered had a meatless omelet. Saturday- June 22nd Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn & Suites Wells, Nevada 5 4 4 Suite nicely appointed looks like it was just remodeled/painted Sunday- June 23rd Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn Rock Springs, Wyoming 5 5 5 Nice room slightly dated Monday- June 24th Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn Sidney, Nebraska 4 5 4 Tuesday- June 25th Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn & Suites Omaha Southwest-La Vista, NE 5 5 3 Great room looks like it was recently remodeled. One quirky thing. The hotel had a sign up when I checked in saying that there were appetizers and 2.00 beers from 5 to 6:30 pm. Unfortunately there were some issues with the taps and it took a long time to get a beer. The person handling it seemed to be having an issue but never said anything to those who were waiting. The appetizers were in the back and were extremely disappointing since the server said there would be nachos. It was a great idea but poorly handled. No good deed goes unpunished. Wednesday- June 26th Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn & Suites Peru, Illinois 5 5 3 Great room looks like it was recently remodeled. Some minor issue: a hanging smoke detector dangling from the ceiling. Thursday- June 27th Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn & Suites Elyria, Ohio 5 4 4 No fridge or microwave- otherwise a nice room with good mattresses Friday- June 28th Location Desk Room Breakfast Hampton Inn Sayre, Pennsylvania 5 5 5

Great place to celebrate one's anniversary - if you want it to be the last one... First - the desk manager was polite, personable, did her best. So this is not a review of her work. But, our check-in was 4p. We showed up at 430p, the room wasn't ready. Not a problem! It was close to dinner time, so we went out to eat, got gas. Returned to the hotel around 630p. Room's still not ready. Ok, well... I understand things happen, though I wish I knew what was going on. So, the desk manager found us another room on the first floor. I guess we had to take it. I had problems getting in (my fault), husband stayed by door while I went back to desk. While I was there, housekeeping went in quick, came out with a garbage bag. When I got back to the room, husband tells me not to put anything down on the counter by the tv - there was something brown and sticky there. I went back to the car to get the bleach wipes and we wiped everything down. I mean - if an obvious dirty spot was not clean - what else didn't they clean? There was an issue with pillows, but again, the desk manager did her best. Sleep was so-so. The window curtain would not close all the way, so bright sun interrupted us up nice and early. A beeping woke us up in the morning. Not an alarm - we wonder if it was the washer/dryers in housekeeping, which we were right next to. Not that big a deal since we had to get up anyway. Shower.. there was no soap in the dispenser. Didn't like the sliding glass doors - very wide gap between them. Toilet space was very narrow and the toilet paper holder stuck out so there was even less room. So yeah, no plans on going to this place again. 7/31/24 edit: add missing word
