Hampton Inn & Suites New Orleans Downtown (French Quarter Area) - Hotel in New Orleans - 226 Carondelet St, USA

Spacious room - this was GREAT. Bathroom - the tub was old and stained. Needs renovation. Perfect hot water. |Excellent staff - from house keeping, to breakfast, to the front desk staff. Only recommendation on my first day the front desk staff could be more welcoming - she was not helpful with explaining about amenities e.g the 4th floor has a nice sitting area for the guests that is open at all times and offers fresh coffee, tea etc. it would been good to know this. The key to entering the gym on the 8th floor didn’t work multiple times and we had to call the front desk to help us. Other than these minor mishaps, this is a cost efficient and great place to stay - perfect location as well - we were able to walk to all the touristy areas.

Quiet place two blocks from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Breakfast was the standard "hot" breakfast. Comfy bed. Pillows were lacking. Bring your own or ask the front desk for more, I'm sure they would accommodate. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. We parked in the garage across the street to save a few $$$ on parking. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Went to New Orleans for a football game and stayed at the Hampton. This hotel is about as perfectly located as you can get in NOLA. Easy walk to the French Quarter, stadium, WWII museum and water front. |We booked 2 rooms both with 2 queen beds. One room had an issue with the bathroom and they were able to switch the room for us no problem. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. No pillow cover under the pillow case which was unusual. The hotel is relatively new in decor but the rooms and bathroom show the normal hotel wear. There was some mold in the calking in the shower, but nothing that was too bad. One weird not is the floors all seemed to be sticky, including in the common areas of the hotel. I imagine this is from whatever cleaner they are using.|The customer service at the desk and with the front entrance staff was well above par. They were always smiling and helpful. |I wouldn't classify this hotel as highend but it is well worth a look when choosing somewhere to stay in NOLA

This was my second visit to this hotel, I will never stay here again. Upon arriving 7/21/24, I had a security/criminal issue in the lobby. I tried to speak to the General Manager twice. The onsite staff refused to allow me to speak to the General Manager. There are only two reasons I can think of as to why I would not be allowed to speak to the General Manager about criminal activity in their lobby, neither reason is acceptable to me as a guest and Hilton Honors Member. In addition to the activity, I found the smoke detector in my room was covered with a plastic bag, which would probably prevent it from working. The keypad and battery pack for the in-room safe fell to the floor when I touched the keypad. I completed the satisfaction survey sent to my email address by Hilton after my stay, a week later neither Hilton nor the location manager have responded. Stay here at your own risk.

We walked in around 9ish or so. I wasn’t greeted by the representative at the desk, Rhiana. If anything she looked annoyed, mad, unhappy. I didn’t let it affect so I greeted her and asked for 3 rooms. She proceeds to tell the rate per night which was not the rate I was provided over the phone. Fine, she then tells me that if SHE books the rooms it’ll be $20-50 more per night or I could do it through the app or site for less. I asked if she serious? She proceeds to tell me yes. Fine, I get on the site and book the 3 rooms I needed. ||I go back to the front desk and show her the 3 confirmations. She gives me 1 room. I go ask for the other 2 and she tells me I only booked 1 room. Even though she sees 3 room confirmations in my emails. Rhiana insists she only sees 1 room on her end. ||I kid you not, she then tells me I have to call Hilton Honors and figure it out. (In the 10 years I’ve been a Hilton member, I’ve never had to call on behalf of the front desk). Fine, I can HH and speak to a representative who then speaks to her. He sees my 3 room confirmation but she still doesn’t. ||She gets aggravated with the HH representative and I suggest we hang up and call again so we can deal with someone else. We do. Same issue. He sees the confirmation, she doesn’t. This is where I lose my s**t. ||She gives me back my phone and says to speak to the rep so I can figure it out. At this point, I’m aggravated. How can I, the guest, figure out your system or internal issues? ||She finally calls the manager and she says she’ll book the rooms for me and honor the price I had. This took 45 MINUTES.||After a day of travel the last thing I wanted to do is waste my time at the front desk and yet that’s what I did. I’m super disappointed in this place and will not be going back.

This was one of the best hotel experiences! Hotel was a block away from Canal and two blocks from Bourbon. Location was everything and the staff was so nice. Hot breakfast with grits, sausage, eggs, bacon, bagels, fruits, yogurt and muffins everyday. Bed was not the most comfortable in the king suite. Went for Thanksgiving and enjoyed every minute! Will stay again.

We came off our cruise on Saturday morning and they allowed us to check into our room early! We had a quick nap and freshened up and headed back out on the town to explore the city. The next day they stored our luggage for us until our flight left later in the day and the breakfast was as expected for a free breakfast. No complaints from us. Location is great, close to the action but not too close for the noise. Thank you for the great stay!

Check in was very easy. Rooms are great. The breakfast area on 4th floor was not clean. And breakfast was not like any other Hilton hotels. Out of hot tea and juices for the whole time and not enough bagels. In general we enjoyed our stay
