Hampton Inn & Suites Michigan City - Hotel in Michigan City - 3674 Frontage Rd, USA

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet our expectations of a typical Hampton Inn. One person staffing breakfast. No milk, no cups for juice, no fruit, by mid morning ran out of staples such as eggs, oatmeal, etc. When I approached front desk requesting help for breakfast staff, treated with disrespect. I hope this is not a sample of deteriorating quality of the Hampton Inn chain. Our experience here lacked quality of any warmth and friendly hospitality pretty much across our stay. Time for new management?

Hampton Inns are usually pretty predictable, but this location really need some TLC. Staff are nice enough, but they just need to work on getting the location up to standards of this type of hotel. Fitness room is closed, hot tub is closed, ice machine on floor 4 has Caution tape and is closed. TV channels in room have poor reception and scrambled picture. It can't be that old of a building, but it's really struggling! I have to say, stay elsewhere!

Stopped at this hotel in route to Ohio to get a quick rest. The desk clerk was kind but that's where it ends for me. The lobby is outdated with old furniture. The hallway carpets are very dirty. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty, the bathtub is stained and need fresh caulk. The sink is also in need of caulk. There was a dirty napkin or paper towel left in the fridge. The sheets were dingy and faded and there was a long piece of hair in the sink. Overall I was disgusted but it didn't seem reasonable to switch to a different room for a few hours as I imagine the other rooms were not much better. So disappointing and a waste of $180.

Upon arrival the road leading to the hotel was closed with no direction of where to go. We had to drive around a bit to figure out how to access the property. Once we arrived the staff was polite and let us check in early. We received our room key and saw that we were placed on the 1st floor next to the electrical room. Everything was fine up until 2-5am when we heard knocking on the wall throughout the night which kept us up. When we called the front desk it sounded like the clerk was sleeping and we woke her up to complain about the noise. All they said was they would let maintenance know. There was no sort of compensation offered for the inconvenience. The hot tub was closed which was very disappointing. As mentioned by another guest, staff did not dress professionally as one would expect at an establishment such as this. Overall it was an okay experience. I don’t think I would return

Extremely impressed with the hotel. The room was clean and spacious - the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Stormie at the front desk made us feel welcome from the beginning. She was outstanding. Thank you, Stormie for making our anniversary stay so special!

We just got married and stopped over for the night before heading off to our honeymoon. Jennifer provided the BEST customer service! She had several great suggestions for places to eat, as well as being very welcoming and inviting. A+ SERVICE!!!

On website hotel looks very new & well kept. Once arrived, we were disappointed, room smelled, flat pillows, front desk just had 2 extra to give, breakfast was good but the chairs in dining area filthy, dirty, stained, people working in hotel did not wear uniforms, some had pajamas on,house slippers, staff people did not greet ya when arrive. Hilton use to be professionally ran & well kept but not anymore. Location was great. Very disappointed in how the hotel & rooms were not clean especially the furniture. Presentation & cleanliness is everything!

Right off the interstate. Not far from the lake. It is convenient to just about anything you could need. The staff were amazing. Short detour through a parking lot due to construction next door. But it didn't impact our stay. Definitely would stay here again.
