Hampton Inn & Suites Manteca - Featured Reviews (538)
The hotel is under renovation (1st and 2nd floor). We're not notified when booking the hotel. The room is newly renovated, but with strong renovation smells. The breakfast in the lobby is super simple compared with other Hampton Inn, while construction was going on on the same floor with dust and smell. The sound proof is not that good. We can hear the kid running on the upper floor. The stuff is nice and changed the room for us.
I would highly recommend avoiding this location until renovations are complete. The owners of this hotel need to reevaluate their priorities. I've seen their employees exposed to hazardous working conditions. The building is definitely not ADA accessible. The accommodations are limited due to construction. And the owners are making their employees' and contractors' lives harder by keeping the hotel open while construction is going on. The hotel should really be closed, at least until the lobby renovations are complete.
I cannot believe this hotel is still actively operating during construction! Stayed here in January 2024 for a work trip and was so incredibly disappointed to learn UPON ARRIVAL that the hotel is actively being renovated resulting in absolutely no amenities being available. (There are now alerts on the website but they were not present when I booked.) No pool, hot tub, laundry, gym, or regular breakfast available - all details that were inconveniently not communicated prior to arrival. Other disappointments included the lobby hot water for tea not actually being hot and the breakfast being a strange combination of sad, off-brand highly processed baked goods and sandwiches comprising of dry whole wheat bread, a slice of cheese, and a couple slices of ham wrapped in foil and marked with Sharpie. Very strange experience and very disappointing that Hilton felt it appropriate to charge full price in addition to not alerting guests about the current situation. I especially felt bad for the front desk staff because they were tucked in a corner directly across from active construction activity in the lobby which tells me management of this hotel could be handling the situation better for BOTH their staff and guests. Avoid at all costs, at least for another 6+ months.
It gets five stars for location because it is the only hotel in Manteca that you can walk and not feel you may be run over by a car. Plus, its a block from Bass Pro Shop. Its the best location for 30 miles in any direction and it is not a stone's throw from the highway. Nice outdoor pool I don't think is heated. (?) There is a couple of OK places to eat you can walk to.
My husband, son and I stayed here during a road trip from WA to Southern California.
The front desk was SO accommodating. My husband is disabled so we require an ADA room, but also somewhere for our son to sleep. They made sure we had the perfect room during our first stay. On the way back north the AC was broken in the room we requested but they were still able to accommodate our needs.
The rooms were great, as well as the breakfast and customer service.
I stayed here with my son for a baseball tournament. When I checked in, I asked if the room was quiet. They assured me it was. It was NOT. Instead, there was massive construction on the 4th floor starting at 8 am on LABOR DAY. There was no disclosure of this when we checked in, nor any signage or indication in the room. When I called down to find out what was going on, they were very rude and said that all 3rd floor rooms were affected. Everyone else on the team who booked here had the same experience, with no indication that we would all be jolted awake by giant cranes and banging.
We needed a safe, affordable place to stop over to break up the long drive from Yosemite to wine country. We were concerned about safety after reading reviews of some of the other spots we considered, so we were very pleased to find this property in what seems like a fairly new residential/commercial development. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, but did advise us to bring all valuables into our room (including a bike). The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast bar was above average -- fresh hot scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, and waffle machines, among other more standard items. Would definitely recommend.
Great location and by far the cleanest rooms I've been in. Excellent customer service as well

It's always busy which is frustrating at times . But it also means they make a good product and they do. They always employ happy respectful teenagers which is nice to see them being very polite.
