Hampton Inn & Suites Mahwah - Hotel in Mahwah - 290 Route 17, Corporate Dr, USA

Less than welcoming check-in experience, like we were bothering them. The rooms were somewhat dated and both rooms had dirty carpets. It was nice to have a mini fridge. Breakfast was barely over continental. Potatoes were undercooked. No cream or half/half for coffee except for coffee mate. Turkey sausage was a challenge to swallow…flavorless. No orange juice (broken). Better than nothing but would have went out for a real breakfast had we stayed longer. My towel was also stained, which was disconcerting. It just did not live up to the Hilton brand, which I normally book.

The hotel room layout was nice with most amenities needed. However, the room and building interior were a bit aged. There were some stained spots on the carpet. Fitness room was clean and sanitized but lack of weight machines. There were only some drum bells only. The hotel location is convenient as it is right next to a big gas station with a convenient store for a quick stop for snacks and drinks. Hotel breakfast was good with variety of hot and cold food to choose from. Temperature control in the room was fine with digital control. Front desk staff was very helpful.

Welcoming hotel with clean rooms and comfy beds. Matthew at the front desk is the nicest. 24 hour good coffee. Breakfast just okay. Overall pleased.

The hotel is like most Hampton Inns in that it is clean, quiet, good bed and pillows. We very seldom encounter issues at Hamptons, but this one had a couple things that stood out. The hotel is getting a bit tired and needs a refresh and in the case of our room, some repairs (tile in bathroom was broken and piece of tile missing). The gentleman on the front desk when we checked in (Nov 09, 2023) was very non-typical for Hampton, in that he was gruff and abrupt and never made eye contact. It was far from a warm greeting!

Room 334, king size bed. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Check-in happened within minutes. Room was clean and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was rather big and again very clean. Please note this review is coming from someone with OCD 🙄😊 The hotel chain is thoughtful! I didn’t have to move furniture to plug in my phone charger. There were 3 extra outlets and USB plugs were on the nightstand. The bathroom had 3 cubie shelves for you to sit your clothes or toiletries while showering. There were pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body soap hanging in the shower and a pump bottle of hand lotion at the bathroom door. Complimentary breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, muffins, make your own waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juices, etc… It was fully stocked, clean and plenty of comfort seating. It was within a 45 minute drive to Croton on Hudson. However, it was the best priced hotel with good reviews within an hour drive of our destinations. Nicely done Hampton Inn & Suites

Very happy with my business trip stay. Enjoyed using the Hilton Honors app to select my room, check-in, check-out, and to open the side door close to where I parked. Super convenient feature! The single king suite was spacious and comfortable. Will stay again for sure. Thank you!

Rooms were dated, but adequate. We had an issue with both the toilet and the door locks. Maintenance corrected them. Full breakfast was a plus and the location was ideal.

Just stopped for the night headed to Jersey shore area. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was much better than I expected. Staff was pleasant. Prices were reasonable. Location on highway and rooms overlooking parking lot not appealing. Overall was a good experience.
