Hampton Inn & Suites Madisonville - Hotel in Madisonville - 201 Ruby Dr, USA

We stayed here while in town for the funeral of a family member for a week. The rooms are ok, but not ideal for long term stays. The bathroom is roomy and the shower is nice. Most importantly I want to leave this review for Carolynn, the breakfast attendant. She greeted us every morning with a smile and was super sweet. She was very attentive and even took my plate to the trash for me! Through her kindness she made this week more bearable. I looked forward to saying hi to her at breakfast every day. She was a bright spot of sunshine in an otherwise dark week. If you stop in say hi to her! I promise you won't be dissapointed. Also to management - please give this woman a raise! She is amazing.

The breakfast is fantastic, the staff is very helpful and kind. The decor however is a bit dull unless you appreciate decorating in every conceivable shade of brown.

I rented a king bed room. Size of the room was pleasantly large. Sitting area and a mini bar w/ a Sink, desk and small couch. Rug was clean, but the bed. Dear baby Jesus, the bed was probably the worst mattress I’ve slept on in many years. 2 👎 for the bed. The shower wasn’t much better. Pressure was ok but you couldn’t stop the water from coming out of both shower and tub faucets. So I literally had half a tub full of water when I was done and it didn’t drain. For $220 after tax I was expecting better. Do better Hampton. And yes I did make sure the plug to the tub was open

What a great hotel to stay in for the night! The rooms were immaculate and the staff was friendly. I can't comment on the breakfast, because I didn't have any the morning I left, nor can I comment on their other amenities. It was a business trip, so I really stayed in my room on the computer. I can the Wi-Fi was excellent for the second floor, though. I rated four stars for the room because the chair seemed a little dated and used a lot; however, it really wasn't that bad and this isn't a complaint.

The hotel is looking a bit tired. The room was musty and had a few minor flaws - burnt out light bulbs, not well lit, carpet looking a bit old, sheets slipping off of mattress. Breakfast was just fair too. The staff, however, was very helpful and friendly so high marks on that. Pretty expensive for what you get.

I am thoroughly disappointed with the management of this hotel. I called on 8/15 to book 4(four) rooms. Due to security reasons, I asked if a payment by check would be accepted. The individual I spoke with advised that it was. I call today to place a card on file and was told, by the very rude and unprofessional manager that it could not be accepted. I have been a Hilton honors member for a while and have stayed at many locations, but this experience is close to changing my mind with Hilton.

Our first room, 311, had an air conditioner leak so bad the floor was saturated when we returned. We were moved without an apology or any acknowledgment of our inconvenience. Our second room, 310, had no working television. When I called to the desk, I was told someone would be coming. Two hours later, no one has showed up. I’m headed downstairs. For nearly $200 a night, this is unacceptable.
