Hampton Inn & Suites Kansas City-Country Club Plaza - Hotel in Kansas City - 4600 Summit St, USA

The hotel itself was pretty standard. The location was nice and walkable to shops and restaurants. The included breakfast was also decent. What makes this hotel stand out is the staff. In our two nights, everyone we came across from the front desk to the cleaning staff were the absolute nicest, accommodating people. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcomed. Highly, highly recommended.

The room was nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My digital key wouldn’t work to get into the garage. They do have a video camera that you can push the button and get it opened. I stopped and got a card key at the front desk. Breakfast was okay. The food temps were off, a little less than lukewarm, on hot food but the selection was fine and varied slightly by day. Also one suggestion is to single wrap the bread slices/bagels/English muffins. I saw a few people not understanding what tongs were for so they reached in the drawers with their hand to grab what they wanted touching several pieces. Parking was easy in the underground garage and access to the hotel was by digital key to the elevator that takes you to the lobby. It was a short walk to the plaza for shopping and eating places. Beware if you have mobility issues it’s downhill to the plaza and then a steep uphill on return to the hotel. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would return.

My stay was very comfortable. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and accommodating. The room was very well cleaned. I like a bed thats not too soft and this bed was just right! Slept like a baby. Will definitely stay again when I come to town.

I travel a lot and always a consistant standard and hospitality. In the past Izzy Tanika and Laneka were wonderful in seeing to my needs one of the best hotel I have ever had. I hope this does not go unseen. Thanx Yolanda for your promptness, humbleness, and integrity anyone who employs you has a wonder gift. Overall, really liked it. The hotel was modern, clean and well maintained. 10 minutes walk from Country club Plaza. All the staff we encountered were friendly. The only reason for removing a star was that the sheets seemed far too small for the beds. On both of the queen beds in our room all four corners of the sheets would come off and I was constantly putting them back on only for them to pop right back off again (see attached photo). I found this rather irritating. Fortunately though the mattress did look clean.

A great little gem near the Plaza. Easy access, great staff very kind and helpful. Very clean. Recently remodeled and looks really nice. Pool was very cool, it's stainless steal, never seen that before but it was fun and also very clean with plenty of pool towels!! We'll stay here again.

Beautiful, recently remodeled property on the west edge of the Country Club Plaza. We were treated like royalty, and were very impressed at the staff, in particular. They went out of their way to be helpful, and made us feel special. We will definitely be back!

Stayed at this hotel for the Plaza lights and for a romantic weekend. Really a great hotel and a great property! Close to everything. The hotel has a photo room set up for groups to take pictures which I've never seen before. Only issue is that the hotel is at the top of a pretty steep hill. If you're walking, you'll be a bit winded when you get back up the hill.
