Hampton Inn & Suites Guthrie - Hotel in Guthrie - 401 Cimarron Blvd, USA

I've stayed here three separate times. I've had issues every stay. I've had to change rooms twice because of foul odors in the room. Two of the rooms air conditioners didn't work properly, they blew cold air but the humidity was off of them so the rooms were cold and damp. All of my clothes got damp. The breakfast food is horrible even for a hotel. The pools been out of service for months. The AC in the fitness room was broken. Lots of issues.

We spent extra to get a larger room, 2Q + sofa. Upon arrival front desk staff very friendly. Got to room and the carpet was filthy, but surfaces and bathroom ok. Went to make up the sofa bed for my child and the mattress was the worst I’ve ever seen- a kaleidoscope of colors, both old and new stains. This thing should have been burned! She ended up having to share a bed, which meant we completely wasted money and could have reserved a cheaper, 2Q room. Exhausted, we made the best of it. Staff the next morning not very friendly. Breakfast was ok.||Location is excellent with easy highway access and a Starbucks and lots of other restaurants close by, but I would not recommend this property. And now that I’m reading other reviews I see that this place has been neglected for a long time, which is a real shame.

If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. We stayed here as a team and expected there would be a pool, but it was empty. The front desk said it was under repair but failed to advise of this before we checked in. The breakfast was terrible. Eggs and sausage cold. No milk for cereal. There was bread, but yet another sign of breakage for the toaster. We were there for 3 days and they couldn’t even be bothered to go to the local store and buy a $10 toaster. The cleaning crew came around to clean the rooms, but didn’t leave towels as we were told they were still in the wash. When we went down later to get towels we were told they didn’t have any bath towels, but we could have wash cloths or hand towels. Really?!?! Our family staying in the next room had to call two nights about the AC not working. The front desk came at midnight the first night with a hanger and got it working. The second night it couldn’t be fixed and they ended bring fans. It was extremely hot and humid. Not sure what was going on with the elevators, but they bounce when you step into them. Hopefully they have them inspected for safety before someone gets hurt. The place has an overall moldy smell. With the exception of the one larger gentleman at the front desk with the glasses who was extremely rude, all the other front desk personnel were nice and you could tell they were not comfortable with the way this place was being run. We were so thankful to check out of this place and we will never return. This place is not up to the Hilton standards we have become accustomed to and they should definitely cancel there contract with this owner. I would highly suggest finding an alternative location to stay at. It is is worth it to drive another 15 minutes to Edmund.

Carpet in room stained and filthy. Sofa stained and disgusting. Went to make up the sofa bed for my child and found the mattress to be shockingly stained and gross. Even the bedding for the sofa bed was stained and old. Why is no one at the hotel fixing these issues? Or do they not care? I spent more money to get a room with a sofa bed and then it couldn’t even be used, we had to squeeze together in the regular beds and slept badly. I wish that we had gone further down the road for a different hotel.

This was the most appalling hotel I have ever stayed at. Asides from the absolutely filthy coffee maker, the view of a dirty roof, an empty box of facial tissue, a dirty mirror and shower door, patch-work paint in the bathroom, let me tell you about the bed. When I turned down the top sheet, I discovered long black hairs all over the fitted sheet. That, and the sheet was not even fitted for the bed. It was completely wrinkled and looked awful. I went downstairs to speak with the night clerk. He offered to change my room, but I said it would be enough if we could just change the bedding. When we removed the fitted sheet, I saw what appeared to be blood stains on the mattress cover. It was nearly 2 in the A.M. at this point, so I just wanted a new fitted sheet. We put the new fitted sheet on only to discover even more black hair. When we removed the pillow cases, I saw that the pillows were browning with age and stained. When he left, I simply removed all of the bedding from the mattress, and slept on my own clean clothes. When I went to check-out later in the morning, whoever was at the desk mentioned that he had heard about the issues with the bed and the hair and all, and attempted to explain it away. He said since he could not refund my money, he had found my Hilton Honors account and added points to it for me. This, so far, after two months, has proven untrue. This may not mean much to many, but simply having a burned-out sign on the outside of your business should tell people what to expect on the inside.

I honestly thought that with it being a Hampton Inn, it would be super nice. First there was a horrible smell once you got on floor, then we get up to room and we found all the strains and a used bandage. Go talk to the sweet girl at the front desk and she gets use another room. We go up and it was just as bad. We back and asked for a refund. Got some of it back but haven't got the rest. Won't be staying here again when we come back down for the truck gathering.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Booked a room 5 months in advanced. They called me 2 days before arrival to cancel as they had overbooked. (I am coming from out of state) They said they were over booked by 20 rooms. So they were canceling 20 people and the rate I booked under was lower than others so I was chosen as one of the few to cancel. (they only cared about the money). The town and all surrounding areas are sold out and they thought it was ok to leave me 5hrs away from home without a place to stay. After reading other reviews on this hotel, sound like a blessing in disguise. I had this hotel booked for 2 more times in the upcoming months which I have now canceled.

Stayed in the King Suite for the night. Front desk clerk for evening shift was friendly and efficient. The room however was not up to the same level. Stains on 2 of 3 shower towels, dirt and hair on shower edges and interior, dead bugs throughout the room but mostly windows, the bed was comfortable but with closer inspection the bed cover was stained as well as the pillows, tears in the sheet, random hairs everywhere and the bedding did not smell recently washed.
