Booked two nights (829/8/30) to attend wake for relative. On 8/27 I underwent heart exploratory surgery and missed the cut off time for cancellation as I was in route to the hospital. I notified Hampton Inn of my need for cancellation due to unscheduled heart surgery. They immediately charged me in full for the two night stay. The lack of caring or willingness to grant an exception to their cancellation policy in the interest of corporate greed assures that this senior will never reserved another room with Hampton Inns.
Wish I would have stayed here last week! I realize hotels can be very different as per the guests who stay there. I think what matters is how staff handles difficult situations as well as maintain and enforce rules. This particular stay, it was quiet, friendly staff upon check in and when questions were asked, decent breakfast, great location, and plenty of parking.
Customer service is awful and the hotel is filthy! DO NOT stay here. The first room I had the TV was broken and by that, I mean shattered. Second room, the furniture was disgusting with Stains etc. Room smelled poorly and the water pressure in the shower is a stream. I tried to call down to the front desk multiple times on my second night. No answer after multiple tries. Assuming the front desk was busy, I went the front desk and the front desk host was not present or attentive --she was sitting behind the front desk and I had to announce myself for assistance. While waiting on me the phone was ringing off the hook and she never picked it up once. I will never return to this hotel and will likely not stay at a Hilton again.
Room was clean and had plenty of towels and extra linen. AC was not adjustable but kept at a good temperature. of course the standard Hampton breakfast, eggs, meats waffles fruits and cereals. Road in and out is a little difficult.
I recently stayed at Hampton Inn in Georgetown, Tx. I was there on business with my company paying for my stay. Upon checkin, I was required to pay $60 but was assured the money would be returned to me at checkout. When reviewing my bank account today, a full 28 hours after I checked out of the facility, the Hampton Inn failed to return the $60 fee. In fact the Hampton Inn charged my account another $60 today when I am not even a guest there. Neither the Hampton Inn nor the corporate office credited the money blaming Chase Bank for the error. The initial impression of this shoddy place presented with a door which would not unlock preventing entry to the dirty room. Be warned: if you want to trust a business in Georgetown, Tx, do not do business with the HAMPTON INN!
This Hampton inn is a disgrace to all Hilton hotels in the SC GA area that I work in. Being a Hilton member for over 10 years I’ve never dealt with more difficult employees while trying to book a hotel for an employee. This particular hampton inn will not allow me to send a basic emailed credit card authorization form. In 2024, they make me fax them the form along with ID and front and back pics of my card. After jumping through all the hoops to send 5 sheets of faxed information, my employee can’t check in at 9pm because they declined my card. My card that works completely fine. Get with the times and allow people to get hotel rooms for their employees. Unacceptable and pathetic
I’m a Hampton guy from this point forward! Everything about this stay is what you would want. It’s clean, updated, and spacious. Large hallways, large rooms, and a large barn door for the bathroom! The beds and pillows were comfortable, fresh clean sheets and towels. The morning breakfast even had plenty of options to choose from!
The hotel is set back a little from the interstate, so even with my room facing the highway I wasn’t kept up all night listening to traffic. That’s a huge selling point!
