Hampton Inn & Suites Fairbanks - Hotel in Fairbanks - 433 Harold Bentley Ave, USA

Overnight in Fairbanks before flying out the next day. We arrived several hours before checkin time, expecting to drop off bags and wander around Fairbanks, but they allowed us to check in early. We were very happy about that. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Only drawback: the pillows were not to my taste, although I admit to being finicky about pillows.

Janurary 13th, my grandsons 8th birthday. We called the hotel and I am assuming I was transfered to a booking company off property because the numerous questions the man had were unheard of and the only thing I wanted to know if there was a room available. I finally gave up and decided to find the local number to the hotel in Fairbanks and speak to some one on the property. Once I reached an employee on property she was as helpful as a bump on a log... I asked many questions and also asked if there was a pool on property. She said there was. So.... I booked.|At check in there was little communication from the ladies checking you in. |They Did not explain the Complimentary Breakfast, Location of Elevators and DID NOT TELL US THAT THE POOL WAS OUT OF COMMISSION BECAUSE OF AN AIR DUCT ISSUE. |WE BOOKED HERE FOR A BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD BECAUSE OF THE POOL. |THANKS FRONT DESK LADIES FOR NO INFORMATION. ZERO>ZIP|I finally found another employee in the hallway as I am roaming around to find the pool.. I asked him if it would be available to the next day. His reply was "Don't hold your breath"|FML.|Seriously it sucked the first hour explaining to the kid.

we had an amazing stay at this property. From being picked up by the shuttle service to the check in process we were made to feel more like family than guests. The check in process by Lada and Erin was without a doubt one of the friendliest check in's we have every had. They made us quite comfortable while preparing our room and when our handicapped room was ready they helped us with the luggage which was greatly appreciated. The room was large and comfortable on the first floor and steps away from an emergency exit which was reassuring. The bed was easy to climb into and comfortable. The window shades were electronically controlled and easy to operate. the bathroom was fully accessible with a roll in shower. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, the oatmeal amazing. The property is located within walking distance to a shopping center that had various places to eat and a walmart for anything you may need. All and all this was a very friendly and enjoyable place to stay!|||| ||

Breakfast in the morning, a nice selection to start the day. Coffee or tea available all day. Nice clean dining area and lobby. Staff nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and the size of the room was standard. Overall a great place to stay while visiting Fairbanks.

The rooms were clean and beautiful. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The shower pressure was bad and the breakfast options could have been better. The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. The location was fantastic- close to walmart and several other attractions. Most of the Aurora tours at night pick you up right from this hotel’s lobby! Get a North-facing room and you might get to see the Aurora right from your room.

Location was great centrally located. Staff was very nice, helpful. Check in was easy and very friendly! Breakfast is good in the morning as well. Property is pet friendly definitely a bonus. Will stay again!

Really great front desk staff. Super accommodating and attentive. Great shuttle service, when planned well in advance. Very clean. Breakfast is ok, not great, about what you might expect for a free one. Coffee can be slow brewing in the morning. I really can't say enough, however, about how great the staff are. They checked in on me and addressed two really minor (and unnecessary) issues immediately. Just great.

I travel a lot for my job and often times I will be out of town for a couple weeks at a time. It can be a grind being away from your family for that long. I checked into the hotel, and the room was very clean and updated. There are lots of lamps but it’s still a little dark because it’s Alaska in the winter. The following day I went down to the front desk and I met Marlon. I asked if there was any way I could get a second floor lamp or table lamp as I would be there for two weeks. He said he would do his best and the next day when I got back to my room, there was a floor lamp plugged in and ready for me. I know this was not a very big deal to him, but it was a very big deal to me and it made my stay so much better! ||The day after that, I received a large, really heavy box of supplies that I needed. Marlon again was at my service. I told him I was going to bring my car around because the box was so heavy and I was worried about slipping on the ice. As soon as I pulled my car around Marlon ran out with the box and safely put it in my car. I was so impressed. ||He continues to go above and beyond and you can tell he really takes excellent care of all of his guests. ||This guy is a class act and has made my stay wonderful. Thank you Marlon for your attention to detail and your friendly smile every morning. |
