Hampton Inn & Suites Downers Grove Chicago - Hotel in Downers Grove - 1500 Opus Pl, USA

The staff was welcoming and efficient during the check in process. All the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, cool and quiet. The bed and bedding was comfortable and allowed a good night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the breakfast seating area was large and clean. Thanks for a peaceful stay.

Breakfast buffet great choices. Love Belgium waffle had BIRTHDAY sparkles batter. Pool was to small based on hotel occupancy picture on site misleading. Under major construction front desk staff were making the best of situation

We were so disappointed with our stay. The hotel is under construction, but they had no signage directing you how to enter the hotel, since the main entrance was closed. The inside pool deck was filthy and the outside pool is closed and looks awful. The suite is poorly designed with a rattling sliding door to the bedroom and no separate sink. I searched for the laundry room on the 2nd floor, but no signs directing you. and there was no signage in the laundry, so no idea how many quarters for washer or dryer. I left. We had to leave before breakfast, but they said coffee was available 24 hours. At 6:00 am the coffee was cold. Hampton has a lot of work to do here.

Very disappointed in this hotel for the price. The construction didn’t bother us but the signage made us think we were walking into the wrong hotel. Is this hotel a Hampton, a Homewood, or both? Very confusing. The room was old, dated and clearly hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. We found candy on the floor, which means the bare minimum of vacuuming wasn’t done. The worst part was the extremely moldy, damaged ceiling tile in the bathroom. If we would have been staying for more than 12 hours, I would have asked to move. We used the app for check-in and out so there was no interaction with the staff, so can’t comment there. We also didn’t have breakfast but were disappointed the coffee in the lobby was empty at 8/8:30am.

This Hampton is also connected to the Doubletree and they are in the process of upgrading the lobby/check-in area. ||We stayed at this Hampton in June and again, just recently. They need to fix the sliding bathroom doors so they don't rattle at any room movement including when the AC kicks on. We have been in two different rooms and the door continues to rattle which is very annoying. I have reported it to the front desk.||They only do maid service every other day so if you want clean towels and coffee replacements, you need to ask the front desk.||There is only 1 hook near the shower. They need more to hang your cosmetic bag and towels on. A towel bar next to the sink for a hand towel would be helpful, too.||It is in a nice area and the rooms are fine and clean.

We had the best time celebrating a birthday there! Everyone was so nice the beds were comfortable the room was nice and cozy! The breakfast was delicious! Everything was amazing! We were greeted with great hospitality at this hotel. I will send everyone there if I could!

A very nice stay with spacious room and friendly staff. It is undergoing construction but that did not bother me. The breakfast was great both mornings, but my only complaint is that they need to be more conscious of food allergies. They switched the labels for the waffle mix and one contained nuts without it being disclosed. I did inform one of the employees and he took care of our concern and said he would escalate it to his manager. Overall, very professional and kind.

We just stayed at Hampton Inn and Suites last night. When we pulled up, the main entrance was closed and taped off with yellow tape. There was no signage anywhere directing us how to enter the hotel. The lobby is under construction, but there should have been signage to direct us. The desk help was friendly, but the rest of the hotel is lacking in lots of ways. There were no luggage carts available, even at 6 am. The pool deck was filthy and the outside pool is closed and looked very unattractive. I went to look for the laundry on the 2nd floor, but there were no signs to direct me. When I did find it there were no signs to tell you how much the washer and dryer cost or if there was detergent available for purchase (none was found.) The set up of the suite was awkward, in that the sink was not separate from the tub and toilet. And the sliding door to the bedroom rattled terribly and would wake up everyone at night. And on top of all of this, they said coffee was available 24 hours, but at 6:00 am it was cold. Ugh!
