Hampton Inn & Suites Detroit/Airport-Romulus - Hotel in Romulus - 31700 Smith Rd, USA

Wonderful Stay as usual! Felicia Nguyen and her staff are amazing. Nyla, the front desk associate was extremely friendly and helpful! The hotel is VERY clean, the staff professional and engaging. Very comfortable rooms with nice amenities. I have stayed here many times and they never disappoint! Felicia, the manager does a wonderful job in managing the hotel and We cannot say enough about how much we like the hotel. I would highly recommend stying here in your travels through Detroit.

Pro’s - the lady at checkout was really polite and customer service oriented. The lobby is nice and clean, the bathtub was clean, the suites were spacious. ||Con’s - the rooms were very much dated. My room was not thoroughly cleaned either. I always bring Lysol wipes and spray with me, so I ended up cleaning myself. The table was sticky, there was syrup on it. The carpet was old, torn, and dirty, there was a pill left on the counter, the beds looked liked they had been slept in and just “made up” sheets were not tucked tight. The chair had stains on it as well. ||Check-in was ok. The lady who checked me in wasn’t the nicest, she wasn’t rude - but not welcoming either. ||I will not be back. I only stayed because of the location and the 4.5 rating - which I’m confused on how the hotel received such a high rating. Room 315 is definitely a 1 star room.

I had a one night stay at the end of Sept 2023. I was able to check in early, the room was clean and the service was impeccable. Lots of friendly faces, which isn't so common these days. We had a queen suite. It was very large, lots of space to feel comfortable hanging out in the room when need be. Breakfast buffet was well stocked with the basics, none of us left hungry. I won't hesitate to recommend this Hampton Inn and to stay there again.

Rooms are horrible. The hotel is very old, rooms are very dated (they don’t mention this on the website). Housekeeping does a half job. The carpet is old and dirty, table wasn’t clean, furniture doesn’t match, bed is not comfortable. Just save your time And choose another hotel. Big no for me. I will never be back.

Pool is freezing cold. And jets don't work in hot tub. A lady in pool area said it has been like this for 3 yrs. Too bad. Room was great otherwise, Amenities awful! Oh and no cookies at any time!!

Very poor service and management, I have been Hampton inn customer for many years and never had a bad experience except this time. The suite I booked for two nights was not available when I arrived! they gave us two room instead but the condition was to checkout next morning from the two rooms at 12pm and check in again in for the suite I was originally booked at 4pm!!! What a joke??? We had a wedding on that day and there was no manager even available to talk to. I emailed the general manager file a complaint and her reply was they they did what they do there is nothing else they can do!!! We had my niece wedding on that day at 4pm we ended arriving to wedding a hour late because no one at that FIVE STARS HOTEL!!!!!!!! want to take accountability for the mistake they made and fix it. I will never recommend this Hampton inn location to anyone. Two days ago I emailed my concern to their headquarters and still waiting for some to contact me. Never recommend this Hampton inn location to anyone poor management and services.

If you have a flight out of DTW I highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed here 1/2 dozen times the last few years and have never been disappointed. The facility is clean and well maintained. Most recently we had a very early flight and weren't able to catch breakfast but certainly took advantage of the coffee ;)! We travel with our dog (he's tidier than many people) so the fact "Pets okay" is a definite plus.

Absolutely an amazing hotel! Erin was the sweetest soul and was very helpful/accommodating for this breastfeeding mama! I truly appreciate her hospitality and welcoming myself and the others within the group that were with me! I hope to be able to visit again one day soon! Thank you Erin! If you need a good hotel, STAY HERE!!!
