Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Oroville - Hotel in Oroville - 2355 Feather River Blvd, USA

We were evacuated for the Apache fire. Searching for a place to stay we thought we would check out the new hotel. Well, this was exactly what we needed to feel safe and comfortable. Greeted at the desk with warmth and empathy we we were welcomed as well as our dog. The room was very clean, very comfortable beds and a big TV. Breakfast was good, hot and lots of choices. Our hostess was very efficient and really nice. We also met the manager, she was professional and very friendly. I would recommend this hotel.

It's a Brand new hotel so everything is clean. Front desk was very kind and professional. Breakfast is was great and area was clean. Only down side to the rooms were the barn door style door for the bathroom, and no fan. Shared the room with my significant other and in law and it was pretty uncomfortable knowing you cannot lock the bathroom door to poop and it has the gaps as the door just slides over the door frame so the fumes release into the room😅. Other than that everything was good. Will stay again and will ask to see if there are rooms with an actual door.

Very, very pleased with the service here, Room spotless, location of facility perfect!! The manager here SHE is awesome. Excellent customer service!! I MADE A FEW RECOMMENDATIONS. ONE IS THE POOL THAT THEY HAVE IS WAY TOO COLD NEEDS TO BE WARMER. Breakfast area super clean excellent service.

We booked the last available room. It was a Accessibility room. It was so large! The beds were soft. There are 3 wall outlets in the bedroom / desk area that you can plug ECVs or other devices into. Each of the 3 lamps also has an outlet. The 2 shades (light filtering and blackout) were motorized. The only noise we had all night was the occasional dull roar of semi trucks outside. The hotel is not far from the freeway so this is not surprising. The hotel is in also walking distance of several fast food places and gas stations. The rooms had liquid soap for the sink AND bar soap. There is a (removeable) bathroom night light. The Accessibility room had 2 peep holes in the door (see picture), lowered hooks, and a lowered closet bar. The rooms had an ironing board, iron, and hair dryer. This room had a handheld shower in the tub. It also had a sliding barn door for the bathroom. The ONLY downfall we had in the room was the shower took a little bit to heat up and it had a water saving very low pressure shower head. But, it was not too long of a wait for hot water and the water pressure is similar to what we have at home. (It is common for places in drought ridden CA to have low pressure showerheads.) The pool was heated (to about 82-84 degrees) and pool hours were from 7am-9pm. It is small but sufficient to cool down for a short time. It has a wheelchair lift. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. There were make your own waffles and some hot cooked items. There was also the bakery table, juice station, and cereal bar. They had high chairs available. The lobby is cool and comfortable. Almost every table had outlets and/or USB ports. There is coffee and hot chocolate (tea I assume too) available (I think) 24/7. We didn't get anything from the beverage station. Near the lobby restrooms, there is a drinking fountain with a water bottle refill device. There are luggage carts near the elevator. We loved our stay here and would book again!

This is a new hotel. Very well laid out. Rooms were very nice & comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. The wait staff kept everything filled up. Check in was very easy. The staff very friendly & helpful. They couldn't do enough for us. Lots of parking. Try this hotel out sometime. You won't be sorry.

We picked this hotel because at the last hotel we stayed at in Oroville we found a druggie’s needle in the room. Imagine my surprise when we picked a fancier hotel expecting a nice room when I find ANOTHER USED NEEDLE on the floor. WE HAVE TWO LITTLE KIDS!!!! You know what we were told?!? “It’s a disability room, that’s probably just a diabetic needle.” WHAT?!? IT IS A NEEDLE AND BLOOD BORN PATHOGENS exist whether someone’s a drug addict or a diabetic! I was floored. We were offered $75 off our $620 stay?! I mean come on. That is pathetic. If we are paying that much money for a room to sleep in, you’re expecting better. They’re lucky I found it and not my 18 month old baby. If she would have found it and gotten a poke, they’d have a LAWSUIT, not just a bad review. So many excuses. We found it as I was scanning the room to check out that morning and they said “you’ve already stayed two nights, how is it you just found it?” Ummmm because we’re only in this town for a grandparents anniversary celebration an hour away. Getting in BOTH nights at 11pm and leaving early morning to spend time with family. “You should have been looking out for it” IM SORRY, WHAT?!? Where is the accountability?! So we’re supposed to scan every inch of the floor in the middle of the night before we let our kids walk in the room?! In what world? At a nice, fancier hotel with that price point?! I am hoping for a call to get some clarification on how in the world this is an acceptable business practice. It wasn’t “just a needle” sitting on the floor, and I’m frankly disgusted that’s how it was treated. “Just”. Absolutely disgusted.

Thank you for the grant desk giving us two breakfast 🎒 to go. It was unexpected. Outstanding services.
