Hampton Inn & Suites Boise-Meridian - Featured Reviews (1050)
When we arrived, we asked the front desk for a room that was not pet friendly. We were told that the hotel was required to accommodate service pets, so all rooms were pet friendly. Rochelle, a very gracious employee, assured us that rooms were strictly sanitized after every pet stay. ||As soon as we opened the door to our room, the odor of animal urine hit us. We hurried out and bought Febreze Small Spaces deodorizers to mask the stink. It made the smell bearable. It's 3 pm and we've been listening to a dog's intermittent barking for the last hour. Our dog owner friends tell us that it is not okay for owners to let their dogs disturb other hotel guests. ||Hotel owners need to designate rooms for exclusive use by guests traveling with pets. At more than $400 for this stay, my husband and I should have enjoyed an odor free and bark free room. We will never stay in a pet-friendly hotel again. ||Oh, and if you are light sleepers, you'll want to select a room on the other side of the hotel because the freeway noise is pretty loud in room 311.
This was the best trip! The service was top notch. Olga, Jessica, and Justin made our stay really feel like home. They welcomed us each day with a smile, and treated us like family. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. Staff was fantastic, breakfast had good variety and everyone got a great start to the day. Shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided in the room was wonderful, my long hair and dry skin were happy. Hair dryer in the room along with mini fridge and coffee.
When booking it stated renovations will start soon.
Major renovations are already taking place. Main entrance is closed. Check in is through an odd back door. Parking is limited. All guests are using one elevator. The pool was cold. Hot tub was crowded. Room bathrooms do not have a fan. Hot breakfast options were limited. First hotel that has charged for using telephone in 15 years.
We checked in late after a long day of travel. Cooper, the front desk person, was extremely polite and helpful! He recommended local restaurants and helped us find how to get there. The hotel complimentary breakfast was convenient. Vera, the breakfast lady, was a true gem! All the staff was wonderful and we will stay here again!
Doing some painting outside currently. Messes up the parking. Rooms were quiet and clean. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was a good variety of items. Waffles, muffins, eggs, sausage, oatmeal and cereals, much of the normal items.
I would stay again.
