Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge/Port Allen - Hotel in Port Allen - 2755 Commercial Dr, USA

We travel on a motorcycle with limited storage, so we REALLY rely on "guest laundry" services being available. Our check-in was BEYOND pleasant and helpful thanks to Maxine and Michela (sp?)!! The detergent delivery had not yet arrived, so Maxine went out and bought some and texted me when she got back!! While she was gone, Michela helped me with exchanging decaf room coffee for regular coffee. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because (IMHO) Hampton is losing its prestige. Dont get me wrong, the room was clean but the hair conditioner in our bath was empty and the outlet the coffee pot was plugged into didn't work. THEN the content of the breakfast was minimal, average and just acceptable. Hampton used to be our favorite but Holiday Inn Express has REALLY stepped up their game.

My husband and I stopped here for the night on our way home. The person that checked us in was very sweet and helpful. I meant to write her name down so I could pass on her info to corporate. We ended up having to change rooms because the blind was broken in the first room and a few other issues. Thankfully they were able to move us to another room and everything else was great the rest of the night.

There are definitely worse hotels out there. The stay was average. The first thing we noticed was the carpets were very worn. The rooms were ok. The place was simply worn and outdated and is in major need of repairs and renovation. It has the potential to be a very nice place to stay if they would make the necessary improvements.

I use hampton inn a lot when I travel. I have the Hilton credit card and it is convenient to book travel with them. So I have been to many hampton inns all over the US, Canada and Mexico. This location is an average as far as the room goes. Two things worth mentioning. We arrived late after midnight but the front door was locked. I had to call the receptionist to unlock me. All the other hampton inns I have been to always had front door open 24/7, so this was first for me. Secondly, I would say the breakfast was probably the worse I had in all of my hampton stays. I don't think it is their fault because it was just really slow with lots of food and no customers. When we got there about 8am, there was hardly no one there. It looked to me that they cooked the food 6am and left them there cold. Eggs and sausages were actually cold to touch and I did not feel good eating them for food safety concerns. Drink machine did not function right. Water did not come out. I don't think I will stay here again...

The rooms were great however the breakfast was horrid, there was chunks in the milk and orange juice was bad. When told about the orange juice they just poured it in another pitcher and put it back. DO NOT EAT HERE, you’re better off going out to eat instead

Positive: Nothing Negative: Customer service unprofessional and room smelled. Had to change rooms cause air conditioner didn?t work. On top that. Housekeeping kept my expensive makeup and bag I left. Call front desk today. Receptionist rude and stated after few weeks they throw

I stay at HI because I drive a lot for my job. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room had a few issues, there was a used wash cloth left in the shower, shampoo bottle was empty, there was food left in the fridge and the ice machine did not work on the 4th floor. These things were minor but need fixing by a manager double checking the rooms. To me the last thing I want to do after driving 10 hours is call the front desk to deal with this kind of stuff. So I just work around it. Which is not the Hilton Brand level of service.

Our room was clean and comfortable. This Inn was close to the freeway yet away enough that you didn't have the sound of traffic while you sleep. I love the shampoo and conditioner hanging in the 🚿 shower. Breakfast in the morning had many choices and tasted good. My husband loved the coffee.
