Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Decatur/Emory - Hotel in Decatur - 116 Clairemont Ave, USA

Super happy with our 3 night stay at the Decatur Hampton Suites. The location is perfect. So many excellent restaurants within walking distance and good proximity to downtown Atlanta.||Originally, we were going to stay midtown. So glad we chose Decatur. We found all of the people at reception to be pleasant and attentive. We had a maintenance issue in our room and the technician was quick to arrive and even brought us an extra lamp because the room was a bit dark for us.||Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare, but it was nicely presented. As a gluten free customer who hates scrambled eggs, I was able to find enough to eat, which is not always the case.||On the down side, the elevators are slow. One was out of commission while we were there. (Reading the reviews makes me think this is a common issue.)

I booked this hotel and was very disappointed. I do not recommend it at all. The bathroom door did not shut and the small lights by the bed did not work. Breakfast was below par. The dining room was so crowded we had to sit at the bar. Unbeknownst to me the maid had mopped behind me as I was eating breakfast, so I slipped and fell down hard on my knees. The front desk staff was polite but when I asked her to file an incident report she said she did not know how and that her manager was not working but would call me the next day. He never did call me. Don’t stay here. Not under good management.

Safe parking, clean room, and an amazing staff. Special shout-out to DJ. His professionalism and dedication to the guests is unmatched! ||The breakfast is great! There is a wide variety, to include hot food. Any empty food trays/items were replaced in a matter of minutes.

Broken elevators. Our key never worked properly and the FD did little to nothing to help. The made it impossible for us to be comfortable. Every day, we had to come down to the desk many times to get our keys fixed. Can you imagine how unfair that is? To not be able to access the room you are paying for when you need? Every. Single. Day. Almost. Every. Single. Time. It was miserable. Add to that the fact that only one elevator was working for the first two days and the fact that our room was towards the end of the hall on the 6th floor. The AGM was unhelpful and completely out of his element. We have stayed here several times before and came back because of the much better care previously. But the quality of the hotel has severely diminished. Check out the hotel next door. Can't be worse. Seriously.

My family & I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel recently. Our room was clean with a very pretty view of downtown Decatur. My favorite part was the spacious bathroom & the nice hot shower, which was so necessary after each long day I had. The breakfast was good, except one of the waffle machines had a timer that didn’t work..so I had to use my phone. Checking out was a breeze & the staff was friendly but I wish they’d smile a little more lol. We’ll definitely be staying here more often as it’s located minutes from my sister’s house. Thanks for a great experience!

For the first time, I checked into room 333 and came back last night to find my toothpaste (large tube), SK2 cleanser (small package), and a small package of makeup remover paper (only a little bit left) gone! I had to go down to the front desk late at night to get some toothpaste supplies, and when I returned to my room, I found something strange: no sheets! Because I was too tired and my English was difficult to communicate, I had to ignore it! I have stayed in hotels all over the world, both luxurious and simple, and this is the first time I have encountered this kind of annoying thing, this time to bring my daughter to school, it is really annoying and I find it incredible

We stayed Thursday to Saturday. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The lobby bathrooms were clean. The hotel was quiet at night. Free breakfast was yummy. Great location. Plenty of places nearby to walk to.

Six cars broken into (one stolen) in the hotel's unsecured garage- but no apology and a terrible example of how to handle customers who have incurred thousands in damage, missed flights etc... I paid $1,530 for six nights at the property. But, when I asked for some type of compensation for our cars being broken into (incurring more than $1,000 in damage etc) after already having paid $1,530 for my stay at the property, the verbatim response was, "We don't owe you anything. You park in our garage at your own risk. We are doing you a favor by even offering to give you points for one free night." Wow- so I should be grateful for one free night after I paid for six nights and had my car broken into and damaged in your unsecured parking garage. Thank you so much for your overwhelming generosity, caring, and understanding in a very stressful situation...
