They treat their Hilton Honors members very well. This hotel is clean and in a nice neighborhood close to shops and walking distance to restaurants. Staff are all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is very good and they have free USA Today newspapers and coffee in the lobby. Rooms are quiet and nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place for a stopover in the Eureka/Arcata area
This is my FAVORITE Hampton Inn! Dalila is amazing! Zac and Payne at the front desk are so wonderful! The breakfast crew and housekeeping crew are incredible! The people who work here are so courteous, helpful, thoughtful, and professional. The breakfast is always so satisfying and well done! Thank you Dalila and team for making my stay with you the very best I have on my business trips! You make a difference and should be so proud of your Team!
Sincerely,
-Shaun
Very comfortable and clean room, with a casual yet welcoming staff. This is probably the nicest hotel option in the local area other than the airport hotel. Only downside is the area surrounding the property is a little sketchy. Good breakfast tho.
Our family stayed at this hotel while visiting the Redwood National and State Parks. We had no problem with a late check in. The room was clean and had comfortable beds. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the hotel provided a nice breakfast.
Stayed two nights at this hotel as our base for a visit to Redwood National Park, Trinidad and Brooking, Oregon. Convenient location at junction of the 101 and 299 to Redding. This is an older Hampton but extremely well maintained. The room, public areas and parking lot were spotless. The room was very comfortable with a large TV and all the furnishings in excellent condition. Breakfast was average with a different menu each day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only two cons, first the 4:30pm check-in time is a little inconvenient and second although out of the hotel's control that both Eureka and Arcata have a big homeless problem. The hotel is in an area with other hotels, restaurants and a shopping center with many homeless people. We didn't have any problems, but some may feel uncomfortable.
Old hotel. Hair dryer attached to the bathroom wall? Hello? It’s the 1980s. They want their dryer back! No USB outlets by the bed. Terrible neighborhood with drug addicts and vagrants around. And they charged $255 for the night? Not for me.
Our room smelled STRONGLY of marijuana. It had either been smoked in previously or the rooms next door were currently. We asked to move and the front desk allowed us to move. The rooms, hotel and pool area were clean as well as the common areas. The thing I can’t get over is the location!!! HORRIBLE!!!
Homeless walking around the parking lot and surrounding areas. Not safe at all. If you are a family, please do not stay here! No “safe” restaurants, stores or gas stations around this area. Absolutely horrifying!
Go some place else!!! Stay away from Eureka and Arcata. Don’t be fooled by the fake 5star reviews like I was. The location is horrible. Homeless everywhere! Your car or work truck is not safe. The rooms were not comfortable and outdated. If I was the owner or manager of that place I would not be proud of it. Go north a little to Mckinleyville and stay somewhere there. So much nicer and cleaner….and closer to the ocean. I don’t usually do review but my experience was so bad I felt like I had to…to hopefully help others out. Take care and have a safe trip.
Beautiful stay. We rented the "Resting Light Lodge" with our daughter. We all enjoyed the beautiful outdoor baths and the local cafes. Our lodging was clean and well supplied with everything we needed as well as some special extras (fresh eggs, fench
I really appreciated the opportunity to immerse myself in this 200 hour yoga teacher training. It provided an opportunity to disconnect from work and dive into the content. The yoga instruction and approach of this training was exactly what I hoped f
Perfect place for lunch! The best food. The best homemade tortillas! Wow! Yum! Burritos are huge! They are awesome if you have special orders (like no dairy). My order is always perfect!
The cutest ice cream shop I have ever been in! They have an incredible table that's on a swing. You can sit at it with up to four adults and enjoy your ice cream while swinging! They also have the sweet single carousel ride for youngsters. Local phot
Super beautiful park, literally a 5-10 minute walk from Cal-Poly Humboldt. Whoever maintains these trails is doing great, however it is a little stinky right now. Not sure why. Anyway, I love taking my dog here, there's also a super cute skate park/p
