The location was good. The front desk was friendly and polite. However, this hotel feels more of a Motel… It is nothing special, nor is it like the photos (of which I found out were from 2014)… 10 years ago. It’s been thrift consciously updated. The sheets did not fit the bed properly and moved around at each turn… the tissue dispenser had 1 tissue in it. This place is not up to the Hilton standards that I am accustomed to, with all the traveling that I do, staying at Hilton hotels.|It was clean and that is a plus, although I would not recommend it.
The bed was amazingly comfortable. The room clean and updated. The beach is walking distance away. Staff was super friendly. |But, there is a one time non- refundable pet fee which we did not know when we booked online. $50 per pet. And it was a one night stay that was also non- refundable. We did not know this until be checked in. What an expensive one night stay. Sigh. Lesson learned…call before booking to find out more details.
I would of given a 5, but the rooms need updated, and need to replace the air conditioner units. ||First, you will never find a more friendly staff anywhere. Not a single bad staff our entire vacation. Genuine friendliness, which speaks millions to management. ||Second, everything is very clean. Even the light fixtures, vents, elevator, all clean. ||Never had to ask for more towels, always giving you plenty. ||Breakfast was good. Plenty to pick from||Here is my reason for a 4. Beds are not the best, sheets don't stay in, and pillows are small. Queens are more like a full, so for the first time in 37 years my husband and me slept in separate beds. No dresser to unpack your clothes. But what was really bad was the air conditioner units. First two nights were ok, because it was cold, so really didn't need the air on. Our last night we needed the air. I was up 5 times during the night, trying to get the room cooled down. Very loud noises, not normal air conditioner noises. Made for a bad day to have to drive 12 hrs, with very little sleep. Invest in the room comfort and you would get 5 stars all the time. ||Location is great. You could easily walk to beach if you want.
I called just to speak with the manager on my stay, i wasn't going to write a review i told , i just wanted her to be beware of 2 things, She starts to disagree with me which would natural right ? But i am the one pointing that the bathroom in lobby was filthy dirty, trash not emptied..The other was no one ever came in to fix room, no clean towels, bed not made . she said why didnt i say something. well coming in late who wants go start complain. i didn't ask for anything she was in shock and couldn't' believe me. ok that is fine . she said i can only give some points, point i she did not care , I now want my points for being so rude.probably will not get them.
The location and service at this hotel are great, but the pictures must have been taken awhile ago, and the rooms need updating. Our room smelled of mildew from the moment we got there. I know this happens close to the ocean but this is why maintenance needs to be done more frequently then other hotels not located in high humidity areas.
Excellent communication from staff before arriving, they honored my request of a third floor room, checkin fast and friendly, so close to the beach. Bed comfortable and room set up with modern touches and bright lighting in bathroom. Shower water pressure was awesome.
I chose this hotel because it advertised on their Hilton Website that they had carriage rides and a lighthouse nearby. It was our 53d wedding anniversary and my wife loves horses. Visitor center said they don't have them anymore and a later email from them said its been 8 years. Hilton Customer service could care less this hotel was NOT truthful about the info on their website. They have refused to change the info. Front desk lady accused me of using the wrong website. I spent almost a $1,000 and found NO carriage rides, a rude front desk, 800 Hilton customer service number with no assistance and a lighthouse hidden by a forest and only open 2 hr one day a week. Apparently Hilton doesn't mind hotels post inaccurate data on their website. Now we had a great time at the Charleston H.I. Historic district...they had carriage rides and the front desk was helpful and friendly. I've been travelling for 50 years and the Hampton in Fernandina Beach was the WORST. Also paid extra for a water view but the room on the second floor should have been called Palm Tree View!
The property is well maintained and within easy walking distance to the beach and several restaurants. Even if you have to drive noting is very far. The staff could not have been more friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

So beautiful & peaceful! Plenty of parking, very clean! The boardwalk is the nicest one Iâve ever seen. Well lit. We loved exploring around all of the tide pools. Lots of sea life: giant horseshoe crab, many different species of fish, lots of birds
