Hamlet Inn - Motel in Solvang - 1532 Mission Dr, USA

Place is very clean , heating cooling works great ! It was 20s the nights I stayed so kept very warm. Right in the heart of solvang so a bit pricey but walking distance to EVERYTHING and they have their own parking so you don’t have to fight the crowds. Bed was super comfortable and large. Only cons I’d have to say is the water pressure in the shower was a bit low but water temp still got as hot as I wanted and it’s across solvang brewing company the only brewery that stays open late so I could hear the band playing but I slept hard that night and it did not keep me awake . Overall great place to stay !

Positive: Location Negative: There wasn't a center piece between the beds, only two outlets in the room, one by the entrance and one behind the couch. Also, not sure what the shower curtain was for that was hiding the fridge. Parking was very convenient.

Great location! But they steal your credit card info and use it to double-charge you for the room. Then after you catch them, they continue to hold your money for another two weeks, just in case you have any bills that aren’t covered so they can all bounce. I hope they suffer as much as I have for ever considering this place for a “vacation”

My daughters and I had a girls weekend in Solvang. Our first time here, love it! Hamlett Inn was where we landed. This Inn is cute. It is very minimal, rooms were cute and equipped with small frig and hot water pot. There was no refrigerator, so we couldn't heat our left overs. We did have an issue with shower, there is no pressure. So if you wanted hot water it was a trickle, if you can stand a luke warm shower or a cold shower then the pressure was great. The their credit, the management staff was easily contacted and resolve the issue quickly.. we were moved to another room as the issue couldn't be resolved that day. We appreciated that. We did contact the management staff about a microwave and they did offer the one they had in their office. We had already eaten out by that time but really appreciated the offer. The rooms were clean and decorated very minimal we loved the flag on the wall and bed. Walls are a bit thin, thankfully no partiers this weekend. The location is wonderful, we walked all over Solvang and easily made our way back to the Inn. We have planned on taking bikes but didn't get around to it. They are there to use free of charge. All 3 of us agreed the contactless check in and out was fantastic. We stayed a holiday weekend so the price was a bit high for what was offered, I see that rooms rent for less then what we got for price. I would stay again if the price was lower. Next time we will check more closely on price point.

Do not stay here. I wish I could give them less than one star. I stay at this location they had a power outage of course so it was hard to see at night that was not the problem! I left behind my sunglasses that my mom gave me one of her last gifts and I didn’t see them when I checked out I called right after I noticed a girl by the name Emily said yes I found your sunglasses and I will mail them out I asked if she could get a tracking number she said yes but when o called back never did . She said I shipped them off when calling back because I never received my sunglasses of course they didn’t answer my calls they just kept saying deal with the postal service! So I did I gave them the date she supposedly took my glasses to be shipped and they said nothing was coming up going to my area for that postal code ! My sunglasses meant more to me because it was sentimental I will not ever stay here because of the fact of how they treated me and the fact that they were not honest! Do not stay I much rather pay anyone else who would do the right thing then to stay at this place

Quite honestly, you can't beat the location of this place. You can easily walk across the street to the bakery, breakfast spot, wine tasting, and brewery. The rooms themselves are clean and open, but the beds and pillows aren't the best. Improve those, and this place would be an A+ hotel to stay at. Staff was very communicative, and checking in was straightforward. Would return.

The rooms are decorated in the Danish-modern style - so minimalistic, with only the bare essentials. We don’t feel that the rooms were configured very well, there are very few places for you to store your things and the beds were placed in such a way that we had to dodge the light fittings, TV and bench top. The floors are plywood and tile, which is probably great for summer but we visited in winter, so they were icy. The reverse-cycle air-conditioner was very loud so we had to turn it off to sleep. On the plus side, the motel is in a terrific location right in the centre of town and even though there is contactless check-in, the staff are very quick to respond to any queries via text or Booking.com messages. This is probably the best value option if you are visiting Solvang on a budget|

Bare bones motel. No cups for drinking, no tissues, no coffee maker,no chair,no table, no hair blower. Very clean, beds fine. No coffee in lobby. People courteous. Easy access to town.
