Hair of the dog, one of my favorites in Norfolk. Downtown is my favorite venue, staff always makes me laugh and feel like home. Food is amazing, mimosas flight , carnivore omelette and a burger. All great and I’ll always find my way back. One of the best places for breakfast!
I ordered via Doordash the veggie omelet combo with sausage and it was absolutely scrumptious! Good portion, care in packaging, and seasoned wonderfully. Will definitely order again :)
Great atmosphere and delicious food!!! The coffee drinks were prepared super cute with toasted marshmallows etc. The fries were crispy and delicious. Prices weren't too bad either! Recommend :)
Cute little place. The Buffalo chicken sandwhich was so delicious. I also had the s’mores coffee without alcohol which was super cute but kind of mid in flavor. But a very good spots
Nice atmosphere and friendly servers. The food was very good! It was nice that our kids didn't have to order off the adult menu as most brunch places don't offer a kids plate. Parking on the street is free on Sundays. We got there around 10 and it was the right time because the crouds started coming in not long after that.
We have always heard great things abt Hair of the Dog so we decided to take advantage of the brunch restaurant week special.
It was crowded and we had a wait for a table but it wasn't a problem. Our waitress was very nice. I order the Egg in a Hole French Toast with home fries. It was good but not knock your socks off good. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict Flight and for him it crashed. The 3 poached eggs were cold. Which then lead him to have no appetite. His mac n cheese was tasty. We waited too long for coffee refills.
I'm sure like most places, they have staff shortages so I'm not bashing the place and definitely have empathy for the staff as well as patience. Ill wrap it up by saying it was average and will have to give it a second try. Oh, meal presentation was on point!
The food was delicious. However, I didn’t like that staff seemed unfriendly and short. Plate was cleared from the table before being finished with my meal and then an automatic gratuity added to the bill.
Love this place! 1st of all, you can't go wrong with any of the drink flights. All fantastic. My husband loved the breakfast shots, and I found my top 2 favorite Bloody Mary's of all time here. The staff is fantastic, especially the management on Sunday mornings. We've had an issue with the food once, and they QUICKLY resolved it.
This has definitely become one of our go to places for Brunch! Check it out!

Really pretty cafe. The owner was so warm and welcoming. The food was really good and as a bonus looked amazing, especially the forest kabob and carrot cake. Only downside was it was a bit expensive and the portions werenât crazy
