I remember going to this restaurant when it first started. The service was not too great neither was the food nor the atmosphere. But I decided to go back years later. When I walked in the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. The customer service was excellent! But the food was still not that good. The rice and peas were still tasteless, the oxtails were just okay. And the collard greens were not good at all. The Cabbage was mushy. It may be awhile before I return there again. I wish the food was as awesome as the restaurant looks
I was visiting from Mississippi. This restaurant was recommended by a native of NC. I wish had her name and number, so that I could say THANK YOU! This place was amazing. The waitress was so sweet and patient with my choosing and changing my menu items. She was attentive, asking each time I tasted something to see if I enjoyed it. I ordered the ginger juice, but it's spicy; and I didn't like it. The sweet waitress suggested that I try mixing it with the hibiscus juice. Wonderful suggestion that you gotta try! You will love the sweet, spicy result. I finally settled on ordering the chicken stew, rice and beans and collard greens for my meal. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious food I've ever had. And finally the appearance of the restaurant was very clean. And I loved the African-themed murals. I wish I lived close enough to visit Hady's again.
First time trying African cuisine and its’s alright. I had the egusi chicken soup with white rice. Very strange and unique taste almost earthy or like w burnt lentils taste to it, though it looks like curry it isnt. Its not bad though not a bog fan of it. The baobab drink taste good sort of similar to strawberry mango smoothie. I may come back to try more dishes on the menu like ox tail or goat/lamb. Oh and for the egusi chicken, basically a chicken drumstick and a thigh in the soup with your choice of rice or fufa on the side, pretty expensive.
Absolutely love Hadys!!! Came here with my dad and cousin and we were thrilled to find a halal restaurant in Raleigh. The food was so so delicious! I got the peanutbutter chicken and fufu and it was amazing!! Everything that we ate was spectacular. I also really enjoyed the cabbage. Highly recommend if you are looking for halal food in Raleigh, or just an all around great meal!
My favorite part of my visit was this restaurant. The best food. The friendliest staff we experienced. The jollof was AMAZING! SO MUCH FOOD FOR THE MONEY. Very family friendly as well. Plenty of dining. Food ready in less than 30 minutes. First time I've experienced that an African restaurant. Menu has a wide variety of west african (Senegalese) and carribbean. You can get basic chicken nugget and fries too. I will definitely be back.
This was such a wonderful place to find! The restaurant atmosphere is lovely, it’s really cute inside. The food was amazing, I still dream of the peanut butter soup with chicken. The jollof rice was good too. I also tried the ginger and hibiscus drinks which were really good. I absolutely plan to visit again next time I’m in Raleigh to try more of
My first time eating here, first they told me 15-20, so I went to Bojangles real quick right up the street. Get back to the restaurant, and was told that my food was mixed up. Ok now I'm thinking we paid 50 something dollar's and now we have to wait another 30 minutes. In my mind my food is about to be good. I get my food out food is over seasoned, my cabbage is over cooked, how do you mess up curry chicken! I will not be returning to them at all. Can't give it to me for free. I didn't even want to waste my time to call back after I seen all the reviews. They have to do better. Looks like they were doing good at first, but now they fell off! I hope they tighten up. I'm one customer, that will not be returning!!!!! Only thing that was good was the white rice! Um um um!!! The food was not edible!!
Absolutely delicious. We came soon after opening. Our waitress was very sweet, helped us with the menu and gave us recommendations. The building was very clean and beautifully decorated. Their chili too is amazing, made sure to get a whole bottle to take home. First time trying fufu and eugsi soup and it was 10\10. Try the hibiscus nectar and the mango drink as well!! Definitely worth the stop :). Sad I don’t live in-state or id be a regular for sure!
