Hacienda Mexican Restaurants - Mexican restaurant in Mishawaka - 5836 Grape Rd, USA

Visited the area from ATL I always look for a local Mexican restaurant for good food. Hacienda did not disappoint. The menu is a little more refined that your typical restaurant and I loved the "Food Truck Tacos". Reasonably priced at $10.99 I was out for less than $20 including drink and tip. I read another review about the salsa not being great. It was a little runny and not a typical spicy taste, but I just added some salt to the chips and all was well. Great choice!

They had probably the worst salsa I have ever had. Tasted like tomato sauce with perhaps a teaspoon of hot sauce in it. We didn't touch it after tasting it. The chips were thin, which I usually like, but they were stale. I did enjoy the margarita flight, and there are many flavors to try. The menu was a weird mix of things. I would not call this a Mexican restaurant. Not even texmex. The chimichanga was terrible and odd tasting. I only took one bite. The beans were hard and again had an odd taste. The rice again hard. The lettuce and tomato on the side were embarrassing. It was a one and done for us. Perhaps if you were going for just drinks as the bar area appeared lively.

Food and drinks at this specific location are always great. What really brings people back is Erica, longtime bartender who gets to know regular customers. She is awesome!

The food was pretty good and the frozen margaritas were delicious. I recommend the margaritas...the kiwi was devine! We had 6 people and fairly large men in our group. They sat us at a tiny table, I had to ask for a larger table. We got our first order of chips and salsa and when we ran out they brought over one basket of chips for 6 people and no salsa. Once that was gone, they then brought out everyone their own individual salsa lol. I ordered the taste of hacienda and asked for shredded beef and shredded pork and got ground beef. I could have sent it back but it just seemed like too much of a hassle. The server was definitely very friendly.

Probably the worst Hispanic food I've had in my life. The food was very bland. The red chip sauce tasted like tomato paste without seasoning. The Guac was just squashed avocado with tomato and the nacho fiesta they provide is microwaved cheese on chips with condiments. The positives of the experience is the staff are very polite and fun, and the shredded beef was quite good. If you're looking for a Hispanic food restaurant do not go here.

Unremarkable experience. Came in to try the lunch special, and the food was pretty good, but it took 45 minutes for a table of 1 to receive the correct food and drink order after the wrong drink came out and my food was ready but the fries weren’t. Then my check wasn’t rung in at the correct lunch special rate and I had to have them adjust the price. If you’re looking for speed this is not the place! Beware - a side of ranch costs $2.50.

Waitres was nice and took our order promptly as it wasn't busy Sunday evening around 7pm. Had a mug of Margarita strawberry swirled with orange and it was good. Also had the Flatus(chicken wraped in a shell) that was good and warm. Ranch was good as it always is(always worth getting ranch with your chips/salsa). Not many people there so atmosphere was dull but while there they had two Birthdays and the wait staff did there Birthday song for the people with Birthdays. A good place to go on your Birthday.

Most disgusting food. Taste like it came straight out of a can or box. The host stood around gossiping before acknowledging us to seat(waited about 3 minutes). Then the waitress took a while before coming to ask us what we would like to drink. When she finally came back with our chips and salsa she dropped her pen in the salsa and laughed it off...... I paid about $100 for the 3 of us to share 1 chicken quesadilla and 2 tacos each. Which we all just took 1 bite of our food and were done, because it was disgusting! Mind you we drank water. Don't waste your money!
