H-E-B - Grocery store in McAllen - 901 Trenton Rd, USA

This HEB is my favorite grocery store. Here is where I weekly buy my groceries for the week. Their meat market always have good and fresh meats. Both marinated and not. Their deli have sushi and other Asian meals. They also have BBQ meals. My favorite food is their tortilla soup. Prices are affordable and fair.

As a Favor runner i was picking up an order at curbside. This was on Monday Jan. 15 around noon or so. There was a DELAY in getting my groceries. I was assisted by the curbside supervisor. Initially he offered no explanation nor apology. He apologized ONLY after i confronted him about the delay. I didn't find his attitude helpful nor orifessional. He did not go out of his way to make up for this inconvenience. I was EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with this shopping experience.

We went this weekend to HEB and noticed they had renovated the kitchen and had new food available I ordered el jefe sandwich and man!! It was huge!.. it had brisket cheese, sausage, and coleslaw it was delicious 😋 next time I go back I will try the Dino ribs..

I actually love this H-E-B. My issue isn’t with this store it’s with the corporate policies. For online shopping if there is an organic or quality ingredient item it is never available down here. We only get the crêpe items filled with chemicals. And our produce quality sucks! If you are hiring professional shoppers for delivery orders - then you should hire them not to bring you produce that is old and disgusting. If H-E-B isn’t carrying something fresh then they shouldn’t bring you anything at all. Why would I want rubbery watermelon? Grapes with mold? Pomegranates that taste like wine? You guys need to do better. We not may not be hoity-toity Austin down here but we know we are your bread and butter. And we deserve better!

Love the salmon pre-preps, and they have my favorite coffee creamer ever. Always great finds! And cute seasonal stuff!

Nothing is bad with the store, all personel was super nice. The only thing was that the cashier Layla M. was so rude at the moment of paying. I was buying a cake, ships, two 12 can coke, etc. She saw that the conveyor belt kept moving and the cake was getting caugh up with the ships (that were cracking) and then the heavy box of cokes and did not do anything about it. She just stared and gave me the total, which I was trying to put everything on the bags and pay at the same time. She did'nt even apologize.

The interior of the store is clean and organized for easy shopping. I went early in the morning when the store was being stocked. Even though they were busy, the staff still had time to say hello and offer to help. Great job, Norman Hasbrook and staff.

Used to love this HEB but produce quality has gone down the drain and today, all of the Green Valley sour cream was expired by 2 weeks which is pretty scary and gross. We told an employee and they didn't seem to care much.
