Went with a group of 4, got the Yakiniku Party for 4 people and there was so much food, solid value. Food came out fast and our server was great. Favorite dish was either the chicken garlic noodles or the hanger steak. Forgot to take pics of the meal, but did snap a pic of the dessert. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!
Not gonna lie! We have to change to 3 different tables for one that works. The experience was disappointing in the beginning. However, the hospitality and the food made up for the experience! The smores at the end were a nice touch!
Came here with family for first time. It's a bit pricey starting at $52 per person, but for 60+ it drops to $38 which is a great deal. The meat quality was very good. Many options to choose from. We chose the lowest package which they call premium and it goes up from there. It is a place where you do cook all your meats and veggies. We went when it was happy hour so we added the duck breast and that was fantastic. The meat was very tender and delicious. The only downside was our waitress kept forgetting some items we ordered, but she made up for it at the end and offered us a coupon to come back again because she had too many tables to take care of. If you like Japanese BBQ you should try this place. The downside is this location is located where many homeless have camped out so if you park on the streets you will need to walk through this area. Parking was very hard to find on the streets and parking lots were charging a min of $20+ on up.
First time here for lunch with my home girl. We were seated immediately and got great service. The menu was explained to me as a 1st timer and he was very informative. Drinks were good but they’re not a bartender so just order from the menu. Food was really good! We had great vibes and conversations. However, just discontinued ApplePay which we was sad about. Card or cash only.
Plot twist: went to a BBQ place and got the ramen, and it was excellent. Friend for the garlic noodles and also raved. The rest got the barbecue and two value meals split between 4 people was more than enough. They also have a late night happy hour, which I think is just genius.
The food is so well seasoned. The staff is great. Highly recommend coming here.
We were craving Korean BBQ but didn't want to drive all the way to Convoy. Looking locally I found Gyu-kaku on Yelp! At first glance there seems to be similarity between Japanese and Korean BBQ. Raw meats, side dishes, AYCE and only blocks from our home. Sold! First off I gotta say, it was pretty messy upon arrival. It looked like they have been super busy all day, floor was dirty, unbussed tables, etc. We almost bailed to the Tacos El Gordo across the street, but we stuck it out and I'm glad we did. Service was excellent and all the dishes we tried everything was a hit. Side note: me being me I asked our server why it was so messy in there. Apparently there were a lot of large parties that day and they had a hard time catching up. By the time our plates started to arrive most of the mess had been cleaned up. For AYCE all diners at your table must agree on one menu you'd like to have (there are three). We opted for the Supreme AYCE menu since there were items on all three menus we wanted to try. You can order items à la carte but I'm not sure what's the better value. We ordered seconds on a number of dishes since they were so good, karage, kimchi, chili and yuzu roast beef, cheese corn and spicy tuna volcano. So for us it was totally worth it. In addition to the dishes mentioned above their meats were excellent. Prime kalbi, duck breast, filet mignon, and Japanese sausage all hit the spot. There were three sauces on the table, sweet soy, spicy and yuzu for dipping. The combination of sweet soy and yuzu was so good with all smoky perfectly cooked meats (my hubby did the cooking since he's chefly like that). Here's a nice touch, when meats are dropped off they give you suggested cooking times, so helpful. I definitely have a lot of love for Gyu-kaku! "I'll be back." - Terminator
Compared to other bbq places I have been to, this is probably one of the places I won't go back to. This is a Japanese all you can eat bbq restaurant and I felt ripped off by the prices, food, and services. I honestly have better food, prices, and services that would cost me less than $78 a person. This is the most I spent on for 2 persons AYCE KBBQ, and the food was only decent (about 3 meats, toro steak, pork belly, etc. were out of stock). You can only order two items at a time. The sad part is that the two orders at a time included the typical side dishes you see that should already be at the time when your host sits you down (Pickled radish, Kimchi, etc). My husband and I ordered meats instead of sides dishes since time limit is 90 mins. The meat choices does not include waygu steak. On the day that we went, there were also no waygu steak for the day to buy on the side anyways. I think $78 each person should at least included 1 order of wagyu steak. I wouldn't come back here.

Chefâs kiss! Food was 10/10! I left very pleasantly surprised after ordering the Mabo & Curry rice and the salmon roll. Both the meal and the sushi were super delicious, fresh and arrived quickly after ordering even though the place was packed. Iâ
4.5 if I could split my stars. While it was really good and the kids and I all enjoyed it; it wasnât the best sushi Iâve had (good, not best). Also depending on your preferences, this may or may not bother you but it seemed like the rolls either
