Gyro Palace Cafe - Greek restaurant in Rocky Point - 379 Rte 25A J, USA

5+ stars!! The staff are welcoming and friendly. They have genuine appreciation for their customers. The food is absolutely delicious. The gyros are filled with delicious flavors. And the restaurant is always decorated for each season. It's a joy to walk in and be greeted with a smile by people who are happy to make you and your family a delicious meal. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Greek food, filled with fresh vegetables, tasty sauces and high quality flavor-filled meats.

I ordered a takeout Greek salad with chicken souvlaki. About $18. When I walked in there was a very strong odor of mildew and behind the counter it seemed like everything was in disarray. The salad, dressing and chicken were pretty good and the only reason I didn't give the food four stars is because they did not give a stuffed grape leaf. I have never had a Greek salad not served with one. Looking at the menu it does not specifically say it comes with one, so if you want with your salad order a side of grape leaves.

Ordered2 gyros with lettuce, tomato and onions, to go No lettuce, the tomatos looked old and mushy and onions almost non existent. Complete disappointment.

Food is just ok, not made with love. Not bad not good just eh. A little expensive

The owner is cordial and provides good customer service. The Moussaka has been the best (just like homemade) in Suffolk County thus far. I've been to several Greek restaurants, but Gyro Palace has the tastiest Pastitsio and Moussaka! The Tarama and Melitzanosalata were also delicious. No need to travel to Astoria to get authentic-tasting Greek food.

They a lil slow in there. Look behind the counter it will make you not want to buy anything from here but a bottled drink. Dirtyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

We ordered pork and chicken Slovakia with a side of rice pilaf. One sandwich was asked with no tomato, it had tomatoes. Both sandwiches had absolutely no flavor. We took a bit of just the chicken and pork by itself, no flavor. I had to double check to see if my sandwich had onions, they did, however no flavor. The rice pilaf had almost no flavor. Very disappointed, will most likely not be going this local place again. Not to mention the price was a bit much, which we were willing to pay for a local place, but not for what we got.

Generally food is good. I always get the trio platter. Hummus tzatziki olives cucumber tomato pita falafel grape leaves. Last night my falafels were dry flavorless oily and gross.
